ancient Chinese accepted the earth being a flat geocentric and that an umbrella-like covering surrounded it which was similar to the beliefs of the Greek, East Indian, Egyptians, Norse and Germanic as well as the aboriginal people of the Americas.

The Chinese astronomers believed that heaven takes its body from the yang, so it is round and in motion, and that the earth takes its body from the Yin, so it is flat and quiescent. The brilliant astronomers of China held this unchanging belief until the Jesuit missionaries came to China in the 17th century.

Alberto Rivera, a former Jesuit Priest, claimed the goal of the Jesuit Order was to create a one world religion by influencing all institutions of thought. Their goal I believe is not to make everyone belong to just one church, but for all churches to adhere to their cosmology and thought form. By taking over the sciences they can cut out any greater divine beliefs in the creation of earth.

Lawrence Krauss, physicist, cosmologist and foundation professor of the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University states: "The laws of physics allow the earth to begin from nothing, so you don't need a deity" (god or goddess)

I've changed my mind. Gravity doesn't exist, and the world is flat.

Thank you all for opening my eyes.

A quote with no attribution, no explanation and no context at all.

Like WYW, I'm convinced now. Cheers.

you sound just like the chinese

now same "thank you mr jesuit"
I'm not going to point out that you don't know what I sound like, as this is written text.
Or that your post makes no sense.

I'm just going to agree with you.

wtf ?

Or that your post makes no sense.

ah jarred with the irony as per usual

I'm just going to agree with you.

you are welcome to think the 'globe' is whatever shape you want (current the 'science communicators' ) claim its a "pear shape"

and ill keep posting FE proofs / evidence / interesting historical kurt tippets like CHINA thinking the world was flat untillt he JESUITS got their dirty Protestantism murdering mits all over it

if you want i am happy for you to refer to me as SJ cannot

To be fair, you asked a stupid question, and I gave a simple answer with basic physics. And in return you insulted me.

But I agree, I should have let you talk about things traveling faster than the speed of light (when they aren't).

I agree.

the distance , between our galaxy and others

is growing faster than the speed of light

this is a statement based on the thoughts of scientific experts, certainly not made up by me

it was not a question but a statement

my question was "why & how is space breaking up between"

maybe you this question is stupid, but to those of us that have not studied space the last 20-30 years in depth to due other facts i think it is not a stupid question

if you choose to reply again, please do not use automobile analogies

the distance , between our galaxy and others
Which isn't the same as saying a galaxy is traveling faster than the speed of light. That's what I explained to you, and you took offense to.

You actually said "how our galaxy moves away from others, faster than the speed of light"
And that is incorrect. Our galaxy does not move away from others faster than the speed of light.
That's why I used a very simple and very basic car velocity analogy. But I'm not sure if you really understood it.

If you wanted me to be more complex, and get into megaparsecs, I can.

Also, I agree.

'traveling'

apart from each other

faster
than the speed of light.

a Synonym for 'apart' is 'away'

http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/apart

i reckon youd be shocking at parties
Moves away from others is not synonymous with apart.

But I shouldn't be bringing up things from a different board. Even if you did start it.

This board is for conspiracy theories. It should be a welcoming place.
I'd hate it if the North Melb board was just attacking North Melb.

why did the chinese think the earth was flat (prior to jesuit propaganda)

are they just dumb people ?
I'd say that the Chinese definitely aren't dumb people, and that your language is fairly offensive. It's not even a conspiracy, it seems purely rhetorical and for instigation.

It's possible that some Chinese once thought (as did many others) that the world was flat. But as knowledge/science advanced, and tests, research, and experiments were conducted, people learned that the Earth was not flat. Much like people learned that there were islands across the ocean, that they didn't know existed before they traveled.

no, what happened was the radical, extremist, mass murdering Jesuits rocked up and told them otherwise

dont make things up please

I disagree with you, that explaining that the Earth isn't flat, comes from radical extremist Jesuits.
I also disagree that I made anything up.

every day i am more impressed by how many topics you have solid understanding of

quantum physics
string theory
simulation theory
history of the Vatican
history of china
generally cosmology

no doubt you know a lot about football too?

maybe search google scholar china jesuit flat earth key terms like that and rethink your position

Saying that the Chinese aren't dumb, doesn't make me an expert in the history of China.

I've little interest in string theory.

I know very little about the Vatican.

I definitely am not an expert on the simulation theory, which is why I've asked you so many times to provide links that you learned from (you never did).

I'm not an expert on football either, but I definitely know more than you. Seeing as you chose Richmond.

and yet you are strongly confident the Chinese ... did not think earth was flat

until the jesuits turned up to cause grief

hmmm

good day to you sir

I definitely don't think that, and I don't believe I stated that.

In fact, I think the only time I've ever mentioned jesuits is in reply to your posts.
