This conspiracy makes zero sense. What would NASA actually gain by making us believe that the Earth is round? Who even benefits from it? Rand McNally? Big Globe who make money off of globe sales? The fact that this is even a thing makes me very concerned for the future of humanity.

look. i really do appreciate your civil responses, rather than the sort of garbage that is leveled at those asking questions within this thread. however, if you believe that the hypothesis, at it's essence, that all life evolved from single cell organsims, when nobody has ever seen an invertebrate 'evolve' into a vertebrate ought to be taught to children as 'science', then fundamentally you and i shall never agree. i scarcely wish to bicker and argue but if the evidence, and i've read the study you linked, is good enough for you then so be it. to me, i would like more.

It's not as much as seeing evidence but more about just thinking logically. If the Earth was flat, day and night wouldn't work. Seriously, why is it daytime in Australia yet night time in the US? How would that work if the Earth was flat? You don't believe that the sun is a spotlight hovering above the Earth like this do you? Funnily enough, flat earthers genuinely believe this.

How about we look into Magellan's voyage where he circumnavigated the Earth?

From this, it can be seen he departed from Portugal, sailed across the Atlantic to South America and then across the Pacific where he eventually met his demise in the Philippines. If the Earth was a flat disc, he would've approached a dead end, and there are plenty of primary sources that suggest that this occurred and not fabricated by NASA to fool all of us sheep.

Sure, the Earth may not be a complete round sphere but more of an ellipsoid (flat at the poles but bulges at the equator) but flat it is not. All that is needed to work that out is basic logic and history.

Common sense alone suggests that the earth is a sphere:

All of the discovered stars, suns, moons and planets are spheres. This alone is enough to suggest that the earth is flat.

But let's look at it logically - the sphere is the perfect shape, it is the most dense shape. We understand that these suns, planets, etc are all this shape due to the effects of gravity.
