Thats a pretty disgusting thing to say to a teacher who has dedicated so much of his life to educating students.
The sooner we do away with 'teachers' and use technology to educate students the better in my book.

Why would someone even mention they are a teacher to put themselves on a pedestal above other? Because that's what teachers do perhaps.

'Teachers' have no right to impose their personal beliefs on the minds of our young. If they want to express their personal viewpoint they should save it for the tea room.

its been said several times, its some forms of FE theory, you cannot 'fall off' cause there is a wall of ice that goes around the disk

crap meme

A wall of ice that either goes up a few dozen metres or a few hundred kilometres depending on the source you use.

I think what we are dealing with here is pure ignorance and the round ball brigade unable to accept they've been barking up the wrong tree with this round nonsense.
They seem to have no understanding whatsoever regarding FE theory despite having it explained to them numerous times, often even repeating questions already answered.
Falling over the edge, lol,it's near impossible, using their terrible human sight as proof, ignoring the lack of human perception. Some even explaining general relativity which has nothing to do with FE theory, while having no grasp of special relativity at all. I very much doubt they have ever studied FE theory themselves, and as we all know,it isn't taught in school,so they need to do their own research. I very much doubt they have,or taken it beyond their own biased opinions. We have even had an alleged 'teacher' admit he forces his own views on our poor children, even admitting he tells them other extremely popular views like religion are myths, again forcing personal views on others. No wonder so many have such a closed mind and viewpoint. What a disgrace.

We are yet to be provided with any proof of gravity, big bangs, dark matter or dark energy. We are yet to see any unedited pictures of this fantastic round wonderment, yet have seen numerous edited versions.

Instead of complaining so much about what isn't all the time, some need to hit the books, learn more beyond what we think we know. It might be scary that we have no idea what's going on,but it sure beats the anger that develops through ignorance and brainwashing.

We live in an extremely corrupt world,we need to be careful what we are told to believe. Still not sure what theory is 100% correct, but I'd bet my bottom dollar it sure to hell isnt a big ball spinning round and round, hurtling through space.

Hahahahahaha, so instead let's believe that the ignorant fools of yesteryear were right all along! Flat Earth is the troof!
Or we could keep our minds open to the very real possibility the earth,or even our universe may not be round after all.
How can we confidently say we really know what's going on when we only understand 4% of the particles that make up our universe? We also need a better understanding of the percievability of the human mind.
We are very uneducated on so many fronts.

How many hours have the people dismissing FE theory sat down and actually studied it? Have those so against the theory that they feel such a great need to object to,enrolled themselves in any courses to obtain a greater understanding on this topic?

Why are people so scared of greater knowledge and so arrogant they can't look past their own biases?

Ok, that wasn't the best example to use but, still, how would day/night work if the Earth was flat?
This has been explained in the thread. It's also on their webpage and explained on some of the you tube clips posted by posters. There's also numerous diagrams throughout the thread.
Have you studied FE theory at all?
Your ship sailing exercise has also been explained multiple times, although you have acknowledged that example as poor.

So the flat earth troofers have still not offered a single thing to support their fantasy.

Can't wait till you guys come up with that great evidence you must have and then shine the light on the dark conspiracy.

C'mon now Daftbard, cannot and katana.... Liberate us.

Why would someone even mention they are a teacher

Why?

It was you who first brought up the 'education system' and what should be taught. A significant part of my career has been in education and I have contributed to what should be taught in said state education system. Hence my comment.

Once again. What is taught in education relies on the prevailing scientific consensus from experts in science. For example Science and History curriculums are regularly updated to reflect these changes. Those are backed up by reputable, scientific empirical data, collected through the scientific method, by experts from those fields. When further discoveries are made and theories subsequently updated and agreed to by the consensus of scientists across a variety of scientific fields then the curriculum will subsequently be updated.

'Teachers' have no right to impose their personal beliefs on the minds of our young.

They teach the proscribed curriculum. In a government school that is imposed by the government. Conspiracy theories and poorly supported pseudo-sciences have no place in the science curriculum. In government schools, religion may be taught, (I've taught it myself) but in the context of history, social studies or other similar studies.

Roylion you're wasting your time. No matter how much empirical evidence you provide, no matter how well thought-out your arguments are and no matter how sound your reasoning is (and no matter how many highly educated individuals corroborate it) you're just going to be accused of being "ignorant" and having your head buried in the sand.

That's Ok.

Whether he agrees with it or not, the Flat Earth theory will not become part of any school curriculum until that theory is supported by overwhelming scientific evidence and by the overwhelming consensus of science experts working in the relevant scientific fields.

He'd better get onto convincing the majority of scientists in the scientific community and then curriculum setting panels in education, rather than attempt to convince the denizens of this particular board with youtube videos, internet memes and dubious websites, that the FE view is superior in evidence, reason and logic to that of the round earth.

I've said 25-30% chance round, sounds like your being a bit greedy and wanting more for the evidence provided.
It's shameful someone would teach the current theories on offer only. We know next to nothing about the huge universe we are apart of.
Some ego riddled characters can reason as much as they want, let's start proving this Big Bang or these dark and energy packed pieces of matter. Let's stop criticising other theories or beliefs until we've got our own straight first.

If you love your big spinning ball so much, just start your own thread about how much you love spinning, hurtling balls. I wouldn't take timeout to troll your round earth thread and believe we should continue to research that theory for the possibility it could be correct.
