Dude, listen up. In Auckland there's a number of quite tall buildings. Stand next to the lighthouse at Byron bay, point your rented telescope at them and tell me if you see them. Because if the flat earthers are right they are routinely spotting things across large distances of water without any problems at all. ITT recently the story of a dude lying at sea level with his telescope watched people up close playing in the water some 20 miles or so away. So, atmosphere was apparently lacking that day. Get your telescope, take pictures of NZ and get back to me.

Or just continue posting from your mums basement. Either way.
you're still failing to grasp the idea that air can be more or less dense. your hypothetical experiment would be moot and impossible on either model.

Not at all. Apparently all the satellites orbiting this planet, the ISS (of which there is visual proof, IE I and millions of others have watched it pass overhead numerous times)
What did it look like? When I saw it a few days ago it looked like a point of light moving across the sky. Is that actually proof of a space station in space? Did you see it differently?

You can actually see that it's a space station with binoculars if passes over in the right light. Cameras with really good zooms can show you that it's a space station.

This is not actually hard to prove.

Video of a curved earth.

The reason you can't see the entire earth from the ISS (as some people have requested)

Some perspective of scale -
Earth's diameter is ~12500km
Space station orbit ~340km
The space station is about 3% of the diameter away from the surface of the earth. Mostly all that it is ever going to see is a part of the globe. Hold a camera 0.5cm away from a basketball. Report back on whether you can see the whole globe.

Even in high orbit, you'd only see the whole Earth lit up if you were directly between it and the Sun. At other positions during your orbit, you'd see a crescent, like how the Moon looks most of the time. So it's not surprising that images we see are composites!

The ice extended east and west far beyond the reach of our sight, while the southern half of the horizon was illuminated by rays of light which were reflected from the ice to a considerable height. It was indeed my opinion that this ice extends quite to the pole, or perhaps joins some land to which it has been fixed since creation.”

I watched it through binoculars and it was rectangular shaped as it moved across the sky.

The ancient peoples knew far more about cosmic stuff than what they should've known given their apparent primitiveness. Often they knew stuff that we modern people only discovered the last 50-100 years. Verifying their knowledge. They often suggest the ancient peoples were taught so much by the "gods"/aliens. That they ALL taught the exact same thing (that the earth is flat enclosed in some kind of protective dome) tho they were all isolated and far from each other, is a resounding weight for consideration that the earth may indeed be flat.

That entails one having to look at all modern efforts at teaching a spherical globe with healthy suspicion, having to just put it in your mind that MAYBE they ARE indeed all lying/faking stuff (for who knows what reason).

One may not BELIEVE the earth is indeed flat encased in a globe....but one ought to withhold firm belief in a spherical globe "just in case". I don't think taking that stance is intrinsically flawed or insane whatsoever.

Again, an explorer talking about how big the Antarctic glaciers is not evidence that it's all part of a great ice wall.

I follow a guy on Instagram who has a high powered telescope and a digital camera for taking astronomy pics.

This is the ISS passing in front of the sun.

Great lyrics and excellent vocal rendition.

I saw a video trying to debunk spherical globe which showed on screen as you watch how using some graphics program you can easily tweak with a button bending the earth to make it look curved, and then back again showing it to be flat.

I guess you could use the same method to make a curved earth look flat (in that video).

But...food for thought that video still.

The Earth appears to go back up at several points in that video. I'm starting a Concave Earth Society.

As a non FE, its the best I have seen especially since it's seems to be taken from Antarctica.

Captain Cook himself evidenced the antartic ice wall. 60,000kms he sailed alongside it, and wrote about it in three journals. Never finding an entry point. The ice wall kept going.

The closest he came to Antartica was his second voyage (green).
Not 60,000 km and not alongside it.
There's no "entry point" because Antartica covers the entire south pole.

I recommend you watch with volume turned down.

cannot I recommend you watch with tissues.

OK, I watched it. I got to the bit where they said "there never was a south pole". And switched it off.

It's all very well to invent this "ice wall", except what of the thousands of people who work/have worked on research stations at the South Pole? In fact, as luck would have it, I have an uncle who is on one of those research stations down at the South Pole (or, "Antarctica", as we like to call it) right now, on an 18 month stint. Is he just making it all up too? Is he "in on the lie"? I should email him and DEMAND he reveal the TRUTH about what he is REALLY doing - maintaining the ice wall!!!!11

And what is a "wondering star"? What is it wondering about?

If you're looking for an entry point(gateway) in the side of a continent you're going to have a bad time.

I'd like to see how the Endeavour would have gone trying to get through the ice water to get close enough to the "ice wall".

Bloody insane
