It doesnt make sense at all as there is no benefit for anyone to believe one way or another.

It won't change the course or perception of history.

There are no repercussions if 1 was proven right over the other (compared to the 9/11 CT or JFK CT.)

So there is no reason to lie about it. We don't need to be shielded from knowing if the earth is flat or not.

Well if the theory is based on shooting something across the water at great distance at another boat, then wouldn't the water levels alter the true path of the object?

If the round earths water is curved by 2 mile the flat shooting missile would fly miles over the top of the ship its trying to hit.
If the earths flat it would stay bang on target.

That's not true though as there is variation in sea levels

However, winds, currents, river discharges, and variations in gravity and temperature prevent the sea surface from being truly level"

The only way that test would prove anything is if there was a long enough stretch of road / land that is at the exact same height with no possible variances.

Religion or no religion, not telling the truth about if the earth is flat or not doesn't serve a purpose.

the (more advanced) tectonic flat theory (with continental drift) wasnt made up till the 60s... remarkably late in human history...

ocean currents are only sensible in the fe model

Well, there's a straightforward answer as to why it's been kept from us: the Jesuits didn't want us learning about the Shadow object for fear knowledge of the mighty Shadow Object would disrupt people's belief in their false God.

Religion is big business, and the Jesuits have a large stake in that business. If the truth got out about FE and SE it would disrupt their power base.

So, they invent ball loving and magik gravity. The earth is round, magik gravity keeps us all on the ground and there's no such thing as the Shadow Object.

Except myself and my esteemed colleagues at the FES know better. When you enter the head offices of the FES there's an enormous, two storey high picture of the Shadow Object. Granted, it looks just like a giant grey wall but the shadow object isn't interested in being flashy.

The truth is coming out.

I used to be a ball lover, I'll admit as much. I was as big a ball lover as you'd find. But seriously this thread has shown me the light, or the shadow as it were. There's too much proof in a FE to be ignored, and the obvious existence of the never witnessed shadow object is the cream on the cake.
