You're right, and there's been a surprising side effect for me: this thread has shown me more and more how willing the great unwashed are to not just repeat the status quo but also to blatantly accept it.

So, so, so many times ITT the bleeting majority have regurgitated the same cud, en masse, expecting that the aware minority (well represented ITT might I add) will swallow it. Well, we refuse.

We refuse to be blind.

We refuse to be naive.

We refuse to be ignorant.

And most of all, we refuse to be lied to, any more.

One of the great things about humanity is that we generally strive to achieve, as a race, even if the majority sit idly by. Some of us look at up at the stars from the gutter, and it is these who drag us forward when it is required.

Now, humanity needs to achieve. For too long our race has been dominated by a select few, telling us not just what to do in our lives but how to think, and what to think! Plato and Aristotle would be turning in their graves at what we have become.

So, in the absence of Plato we have cannot, and in the absence of Aristotle we have darthbards, and thankfully many others like them to at least help encourage the flame of truth to burn in these current dark days.

Last I checked....Socrates was charged with corrupting the youth....And anyone who has read the Symposium, knows full well why.

The ancient Greeks were most certainly the flower of Western Democracy & the inspiration for most things that are great about the civilized world. Though they were far from perfect.

Here's a non scientific theory. There is evidence in the form of images and the sending out of rovers/probes etc of other masses in our universe being somewhat spherical. In fact, there is countless evidence of this. There is no evidence of large flat discs floating in space with atmospheres.

Why would the earth be the only one? Are flat earthers suggesting we are a stationary disc in space and the entire universe revolves around us?

Are you sure these images you talk about are images or artists impressions? In the land of the religion of fraudulent & institutionalised science,being an artist holds great importance to their ball loving ideologies. You will find with a pencil and piece of paper you can draw anything.

At the FES our scientists don't use the term atmosphere and believe our flat plain to be surrounded by what we identify as Atmolayers.

At this point we believe that earth is the only flat plane in the universe because a flat plane is required to harbour intelligent life and that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe. We believe it is impossible for a ball to support life as everything would either slip or fall off due to all the spinning and hurtling.
According to roundball earth, in Melbourne you should be upside down but do you feel upside down? Do you feel like you are hurtling through space at a million mile an hour? Do you feel like your spinning? Does the earth look flat when you observe it?
