We lost to the dawks by 3 points and they go on a run of 7 straight. We are in the game up until the last qtr against the Crows and they are on a mission now. There is method in the madness when you work out who the form sides are in the comp atm, outside the benchmarks. Dont want to take the lid off but we have just beaten 2 teams vying for a finals spot, after we thumped 2 also rans and ran a hot in form team who is now eyeing top 4 to 3 points...look out, something is cooking and it might surprise alot where this ride ends this year.
Not that its a good thing when a player suffers a bad injury, and we have had our fair share of bad luck over the stretch, but Freo need to find 35 possies next week from somewhere else. We clock up 4 in a row and i can guarantee you that the teams from 10th to-6th will all start looking over their shoulder at the rampant tigers with the rampant tiger army roaring in. ;)

All well and good, but we don't want to get ahead of ourselves!
Our biggest challenge yet since our form reversal coming up this week. And one of our best chances to knock off a contender!

This is where DH earns his bread dude. All we have to do is bring our game, all he has to do is make sure we bring it and we win, lock it in. ;)

...yes i still gnash my teeth and have nightmares over that loss to the dawks...can you imagine the mayhem kennett alone would have done to them if...if they had lost!...:D...and now to come back and beat such a tough experienced professional side like sydney is definitely a harbinger of good things acoming...:thumbsu:...
....its starting to feel good in being a tiger supporter again...:thumbsu:...

My mate is convinced we are making the finals.

I just popped my predictions into the afl ladder predictor...based on fairly reasonable outcomes, I have us finishing 8th on 10-12

I did the same, being slightly optimistic but not insanely so. Had us in 10th but only out of the eight on percentage with 9 wins. Finals is an unrealistic goal after the way we performed over the first eight weeks, but we could really build something to take into next year. I reckon 7-8 wins is very achievable from here, which will lift us to about 11th or 12th.

gee lets see. Could it be the fact that there are positives to post about? Havent been to negative this year dude, or maybe i have, and its purely because i hate it when we come up say against dud sides like the bummers and we dont bring our game with us and lose to a side that I thought we were better than, even in the shitful ladder position we were in.
Barring a couple of blow out games, we have had a time in the game where with the amount of ball we were peppering in, if we put it on the scoreboard at the time it needed to be put on, there was a window of a chance to take the points. ;)

Agreed... The steamroller drubbing from a middle rung team doesnt seem like its a possibilty under DH like it was under TW.. I have a friend whom I converted to Richmond around 1998 and he is a queenslander. We spoke after the game and he thought it was the best win he had seen us win!!! That might be a big call but it would have to be in the top handful...
Doesn't say much for Gieschen/Frawley/Wallace era's does it? ;)

Dont tell me about it dude, tell those that chose to sleep and live in denial when the message was being put up in neon lights by the playing group about TW. Or do we really believe that there is a thing called stage fright, or that we had to hear this every second week: "We know we let the jumper down and we need to redeem ourselves to our supporters". Then the next week we would get a mild semi effort, followed by another nothing performance. i.e. Get rid of the coach, we dont want to play his game or play for him...the end. ;)

Man I got so angry with this style of media management.
DH seems to be really close with the players and has formed close realtionships, which I really like. This is seemingly the polar opposite to TW.
Northey had a similar ralationship with the players as DH and in my opinion he was our last coach that was any good.:)

With DH it doesn't matter whether we win or lose, as long as we follow the plan, if you know the plan works, then wins will come, the boys seem to have a believe and feel for the club that I haven't seen since the 70's.

Loved it when one of the commentators mentioned how we have the best jumper in the league, that and our song. should be an inspiration instead of the joke of the last 30 years, maybe playing for the Tigers finally means something again.

If we beat Freo we could go on a rampage and make finals......nothing is impossible, especially when a bunch of young guns start winning.

Its hard to believe we can final but lets play what ifs....what if we beat Freo and go on to beat North. What is the Pies disintegrate before a rampant young Tiger side roared on by decibels not heard at the g since the early 80s? There would be pandemonium.

I don't think we will final but wewill be the marquee team on 2011.
