watching that video makes me feel bad that the swans capitulated against the dogs in his final match... I much rather we went down fighting against St Kilda... would've been a more fitting end for Kirky... I guess the positive to take out of it was that the young guys really stepped up towards the latter part of the season, it was a bit of a changing of the guard...

It's only when the season starts that it's going to hit home, No Kirk & No Roos. Despite our plethora of smokin' hot new blood(s) that simple fact's gonna take some getting used to.
I'll feel better once we hold the 2011 cup on high. If it goes to (my) script this'll be our run through the finals ......

In this article it says that the player who played on Ryan Brabazon in the grand final in the WAFL has tested positive to performance enhancing drugs.
I know the other player has only tested positive to headache medication but still could have made the difference.
If i remember correctly Ryan paid his own way to the draft camp to prove what he could do and may have been close to a spot. He still may get a spot on a teams rookie list but i havent heard any mention of his name.

I could've paid my way to draft camp too...but it still wouldn't have done me any good! If Brabazon could've made it, he would have...and that particular game would've meant jack shit!

Interesting article here on Vez, I'm happy his fitting in but you can't help feel a little bit annoyed when he says that all the things that the Swans were drilling into him are now starting to pay off.

Good to hear that he is accepting what we were trying to teach him about work ethic when he played for us.
Its easy to understand how a young man can loose confidence or feel a little down when he isnt playing seniors after such a promising start and i wish him all the best with the dogs

as much as I hang crap on Vez I do actually wish him all the best, thats a nice article.
It's just a shame he didn't get the opportunity to play more senior footy in 2010. That article made me feel bad for the guy, seemed like he was really down on himself. I wish him all the best at the doggies, I'm sure he'll grab his 2nd chance with both hands. I can deal with him having a good career elsewhere, but if he becomes a star I'll be kicking something
I love Vez but I didn't come away from that article convinced that anything has really changed in terms of his work ethic, just sounded like puffy articles that have come out on him over the last few pre-seasons
Having said that, I think he's capable of a 30 - 40 goal season for the doggies this year.

Collegians spring to mind bedford.... Paul(or Greg Deer) at Old Xavs and a new luxury car. Some funny things went on with old Haileybury on the way to their last A grade sojourn. St Bedes Mentone jump up the grades in dramatic style... Beaumaris influx of new talent. Even the blues have been spoken about.
But I’m sure Ormond have never dallied bedford

GWS are allowed to take a minimum of 2 players from the AFL Canberra side for the NAB Cup game, so there is a chance we may see Aaron Bruce playing against his former teammates.
Luke Brennan signed with Ballarat in the BFL.
