You mean you never read the reserves thread. SADFACE
I do read it, its only thanks to you, Soph and some other non Swans supporting random that I have any idea about our ressies and I do appreciate it however its only to see how our senior players are doing.. I couldn't give a rats clacker about the rest or the results.. That's sad I know and its not right especially at the highest level of football but that's honestly what the current set up does for me.

edit: its also the club my family has loved and supported for generations, I grew up as did my elders knowing all the ressies and watching every game before the senior. In all levels of football and even most other sport, ressies are part of the same comps as the seniors, one team. This set up is a joke.

Nice link..:thumbsu:
Dale Lewis has just gone up a couple of pegs in my eyes he is spot on.
Those that know me know how much I love my cooking and I was asked once in that fantastic cooking thread why I didn't like Master chef, people like this flog is the reason. I prefer to take my time, sip on a wine and produce great food. If I had someone like this idiot speak to me like most of these celebrity chefs do I would smack the prick over the head with a frying pan multiple times.
I understand its what they think is an industry standard by head chefs but when I was young, flogs like this turned me off the industry all together and it was something I was very keen to pursue.. Im glad someone has spoken up but Id really love for someone with a higher profile to whack all these celebrity chef arseholes.

Pierre White accuses Dale Lewis of making it all about him..... Pierre White, seriously folks has anyone seen hell's kitchen or the storys of him kicking out customers or charging 25 pounds for chips because the customer pissed him off... Thats all about him.

This is a club that stood by him for years through serious injuries, and instead of fighting to repay that loyalty he sought an exit for an easier chance of getting a game.

The only problem with that is even though he's overcome his injury issues, he's still not close to cracking a regular spot in the team. He'd have to wait until 2014 / 15 to get an extended run. He's gainaing a year or 2 of footy by leaving the swans. I hold no grudges, it's just a side effect of having a successful team, you lose players that you'd otherwise like to keep, at least we've got a premiership to show for it.

I say good luck to him.

I agree with this. He was on a rookie list when he made the decision that a club wanted him on the senior list with the likelihoods of playing him. Most of these guys footy careers are done and dusted when normal industries still consider their age bracket young.

It's the same scenario that gave us Mumford and a similar one to Kennedy, you cant begrudge the young man.

I agree with what you say and I will remain an unabashed fan of his, but he was actually on our senior list at he end of the season and the club wanted to keep him (I assume in our senior list, but I don't know that for sure).

I think the club stood by him for his entire, injury-marred career and did everything right by him. But a young guy who has already seen how fleeting an AFL career can be shouldn't be begrudged for wanting to have a more concrete, secure place on a senior list. A senior spot at a club like Port is more conducive to regular senior appearances than a senior spot as a fringe player at the reigning premiers.

He had been put on the main list for a LTI. He hadn't been a permanent Addison to it at that point. Though I thought it was fair ro assume that was going to happen.

I'm not too fussed about losing TDL, he's done some great things, but he has a tendancy to get shut out if games, and when that happens he's pretty useless.

Good luck to the kid, may have a good career ahead of him, but at this point, he was a fair way down the pecking order. If he becomes a superstar in 3 years time good on him, just wasnt to be

Sad to see TDL go, but we had to give up players to make room for Tippett, only time will tell of course but I think it was the right call. I wish him all the best, will always remember him for his match-winning 4 goal haul against the Blues in the 2010 elimination final, and the tackle from behind on Armfield. Hope he gets a few more games when that St Kilda rat finally decides to retire ;)
