I didn't see any of the Hawks game but if anyone cares (probably just me!) Clarko played Spangher in defence on Cameron, who kicked 4 goals.

Terlich had a good game for the Dees today. Laid plenty of tackles and was hard at it. Think he was playing in defence on Nahas who was pretty quiet.
Terlich is a defender these days. He's actually really impressive at this stage of his development. Composed, hard at it, can dispose of it and knows how to tackle.

Would've been a good replacement for a Mattner type if you guys had kept him around.

Your Premiers, we finished 16th; so it's a bit hard to criticise you too much!

I didn't see him play personally (I cheat by reading the reserves reports on here lol), but I think it shows that there are a number of different paths to an AFL career, even if you don't make it at your first club you can find an opportunity somewhere else if you're willing to work for it. Today was probably his best game for the club, the whole team was much improved on previous efforts. Know it's a tough time for you guys at the moment, there are no easy answers, the whole group just has to put in the hard work.

Notes
Bevo's leading the WAFL goalkicking with 31!
Nippa's killing KILLING IT in the SANFL. Would make team of the year right now
McNeil has fallen to reserves level.

It's quite obvious that we get the most out of our players when they are on our list & if we can't turn them into regular senior AFL footballers at the Swans, then it is highly unlikely that they will become senior AFL footballers elsewhere.
The list is long.
Phillips, Dennis-Lane, Veszpremi, Meredith, Gordon, Rowe, O'Dwyer, Thornton.................& so on.
Not one of these have made it elsewhere (still some time I guess) meaning we know when to pull the pin on them.

The most surprising is Veszpremi. I thought that at the battling Bulldogs, he would be now playing regular senior football.

Not sure what more Gordon could have done in 6 months to impress, he's been fantastic.
Simpkin is probably the most accomplished of the ones delisted, but you could argue most of his development was fostered at Geelong. Plus I've heard the reasons for his delisting weren't mainly football related so who knows.

Yeah Simpkin is one I've forgotten about. He's going well. Gordon will hopefully get picked up.

Wasn't Breust playing in the Swans reserves?

I can't believe anyone can bag Beatson, his recruiting has been outstanding and he would be snapped up by any club. What else would you expect though
swansfan51 once sent me a pm during drafting saying we are looking at a WA player named X who was a certainty.. not only did we not pick that player up as our second rounder, the player didn't get picked for the second round by anyone at all and has still not yet played a senior game for anyone he is a total spud.... just sayin lol
