He was a terrible user of the ball, had really poor kicking and handballing skills.

Has been better this season but how much of that is due to the lack of pressure in the WAFL competition, and having more time with the ball? I still think he's lacking something

He also beat Steve Johnson in week 1 of the finals and I think in the Prelim he played on and beat Giansiracusa. As well as beating Didak last week. Pretty decent run of form by my reckoning.

Yep. Dempster looked pretty good on the weekend. After the draw last weekend he and Schneids are about to play in their 5th GF (assuming they are both picked). Dempster's played just 6 years of footy and Schneids 8.

I'd say Sean Dempster is the luckiest bastard in the AFL. Roughly 1 in 7 of his 95 matches have been finals. It'd be pretty hard to find any other players in the AFL who have played so many GFs*. To play in 5 GFs after just 95 games is stunning.

*Leaving out the Hawks players from their 7 straight GFs in 1983-1989

Everyone complains that Collingwood is hard to deal with during the trade period... but that hasn't stopped our clubs trading regularly.

He is good enough, its just that he shits himself at the top level. Great fella to meet though, i hope he gets another chance and makes the most of it.
