GOLD Coast draftee Tim Sumner says he has learnt from the mistakes of older brother Byron, who was axed by the Sydney Swans in 2011.

Byron was cut by the Swans during his second season, after the club said he was "struggling for some time with the commitments and demands of AFL football".

These "struggles" included being late for training and missing sessions.

Yeah, he was playing AFL 9's at half-time of Sydney vs Collingwood at ANZ in round 20. Plays in the Sydney League? Injuries cruelled him.

Funny how 1 bad landing and snap!, you've got a bung ankle and have lost the spot as top dog in an up and coming team that eventually goes on to win the premiership. A fully fit and firing Seaby could have not only kept Mummy out of top spot but been more effective on GF day 2012 than Mummy was but alas it wasn't too be for the bloke. I do feel sorry for him*


*Then I go and watch the 2006 GF again and that feeling goes away.
