Ablett and Chapman are our leading goal scorers.

I agree with Jack. Gotta keep Clement out of the play. Play Kingsley and a decoy and keep him leading to dead pockets and up on the wing.

I meant the last few seasons :o

I know he isn't fully fit but how long could King ruck out the game for, leaving the option of Ottens in the square for a majority of the game?

Would like to see him take a few marks one out in the square against the other Wakelin brother!

Playing Kent as a decoy might be the way to go this week. Let him lead Clement up to the 50 metre line and just kick it to the square to Ottens, Mooney and Henry. Must keep Clement out of the play.

From a neutral perspective thats a very good idea, considering I remember last year how Clement destroyed the Cats in the back half.
Just from my point of view, this year I thought although Ottens has rucked a lot in the last couple of games sometimes I think the players don't kick it to him enough. He is an excellent mark and always brings the ball to ground if he doesn't mark it for Ablett and Chapman and co.

That game was notable for the fact that we waltzed in expecting to wipe the floor with them and didn't show any respect (just like Hawthorn in Round 3) - whenever we do this we lose (Freo last year, Coll etc...). When we won all those games in 04, it was our work ethic (harrassing, tackling, locking in the forward line) that was hard to play against. If we try to play like millionaires, it all comes unstuck.

:thumbsu::thumbsu: One of our big strengths is that we have two (three when Dog is on song) of the best 5 small forwards in the league. We have a good opportunity in the coming weeks to exploit that by having Otto, Cam Mooney and H bringing the ball to ground for those small guys to swoop on - or else take a contested mark (heaven forbid that H and KK might actually take a shot when within 30 m)!

I'm confident that, provided we bring the work ethic from last week, we will comfortably deal with Coll.

A tag?! The only tag Kent would put on anything would be an e-tag on his car.

I'm sure we're all familiar with his value around the grounds, but I think we can expect to see (re I'd like to see it) alot more of Moons in the forward line.

One of our best contested marks, can actually kick straight, and has shown he can lead from the front where it matters most - in the forward half (see NAB vs Adelaide).

When Moons was at full forward it took me back to the days when our players actually had a target to shoot for that could take a grab.
Among our current crop of forwards Otto is the only one that seems to be able to take an overhead mark.
We seem to have gathered a group of footballers with the softest hands ever seen, Kingsley being the leader of the bunch.
