Yeah, odd. It was his last season at Collingwood. Craig Stewart got number 9 in 1978. My guess is that it had something to do with Len Thompson getting the captaincy and switching from number 2 to number 1 that year.
No doubt some older Collingwood fans would know

Aside from repetitious content I feel a big issue at present is the Wednesday night timeslot. It's really a Thursday or Friday night style program. Though Channel Seven determine that AFL matches should be played on Thursday's and Friday's. The show can still be salvaged if the stakeholders are motivated enough.

#1 for captain and #2 for vice captain was done a lot when I began playing in the mid-60s. Not sure why, that's just what clubs did. I think Collingwood hung onto the tradition longer than most.

Tuned in for the first time in a long time, and now find this show annoying as hell.

All 3 of them talking over each other, all the time. Repeating punchlines. Fitzy opening his mouth as wide as he can and braying noise (laughter apparently), then shutting it immediately with no signs of past mirth.

It has become the male version of a hen house.
