Interesting indeed, if somewhat misleading in its headline.

VR may be of use in providing instruction and aiding decision-making for those unable to participate in contact drills.

Drones are already widely used to relay vision to players at almost all levels now.


Otherwise the premise of the article is more about upping the soft cap and restoring off-field leadership roles at clubs to guide the next generation of coaches.
 
Would be great if we can use AI to do the bulk of the coding/clipping work, would lighten the workload for assistant coaches to focus more on coaching and tactics
