I don't think I have ever been more excited about the state of our list and to think that is not a list that is on the rise after a few years of lowly performances but on the back of a flag. If I dare to assume we can get Tippett and not trade any of our young guns, here is our 25 and under team, again wow:

Heath Johnson Smith
Brown Lockyer Armstrong

Jetta Hannebery Mitchell

Rohan Reid Bird
Morton Tippett Parker

[Ruckman] Kennedy Jack

Bench: Lamb, TDL, Cunningham, Spangher, Walsh, Everitt

In 4 years a lot of the players you named will not be on the list any more, guaranteed.

Not sure what you mean by that - sure there will be casualties and no team can fill a whole list with younger players, but there is a heap of talent there to build on into the future.

I guess you have to assume the ones that haven't, or barely kicked a ball for us would still be under the spotlight i guess. Brown, Heath, Morton(?), Lamb, TDL, Cunningham, Spangher, Walsh, Everitt.

Not sure whether to throw Armstrong and Mitchell into the ones 'under the spotlight' or under the list of players that will be here for a long time into the future along side;

Johnson, Smith, Jetta, Hannebery, Rohan, Reid, Bird, Parker, Kennedy, Jack.

A lot of unproven names there. The only stars there are Johnson, Smith, Jetta, Hanners, Reid, Bird, Tippett, Parker, Kennedy and Jack. The rest haven't strung enough games together either in the Reserves or Seniors to convince they'll be here.

Mitchell will play 200, and be in the leadership group within 6 years. A real gun

Well I am extremely disappointed with all the talk about Tippett wanting to come to our club and what we will have to give up for him. I know Longmire, Ireland and Co went to see him last week in QLD so he is obviously part of the plan for the future. I just do not get all the hype surrounding this player, I could certainly see with Lockett - already a major star and the club was in need of him and Roos at the time. We are not in that position now and have major talent to come. I am excited about the future of the Swans or was very much so till all this was announced. I hope they do the right thing (Sydney) cause it is all going to end in tears. Not one of our premiership and players from this year to go. It is hard to have a cool business head with all this, this player better be extraordinary if we are going to lose a shining light. Somehow I doubt it.

That's pretty good especially the midfield and the two key forwards. Johnson is a third tall in defense not a FB/CHB in my opinion, so 2 key defenders would need to come in when Teddy and Reg move on. I like Armstrong, think he's gonna be a big part of the future. Very surprised if TDL, Spangher and Everitt are still on the list in the next couple of years.

Hannebery will win a Brownlow one day, book it.
