The first two bands I thought of when I heard it were Franz Ferdinand and The Clash.

Go to their site to check some more out.

I heard they were supporting QOTSA so I thought I'd check them out...and it's great!

The first band it kind of sounded like is the dear departed McLusky, but there is some definite Clash in there. I haven't heard Franz Ferdinand's other stuff so I can't compare it that....

But as Molly says, do yourself a favour...

Absolutely. Very, very good album this one. There's certainly a lot of this new wave British stuff floating around now, but these guys are definitely my favourites behind Bloc Party, and probably equal with Maximo Park. Plenty of energy that's highlighted right from the opening notes of Le Garage.

They were in the final announcements for Splendour in the Grass too, which has made my week.

*BUMP*

Triple J is currently playing their set from Splendour in the Grass. Absolutely sensational set!!

I went there very much looking forward to seeing them, and ended up hailing it as just about the best act of the whole weekend. This album is the epitome of good harmless fun done very well.
