Well despite having only 1 eye that only got worse from round 1 onwards he was pretty consistent throughout. He had spots in the later rounds but Maidana finished stronger. He tried to overwhelm Morales with his aggression and it worked in winning the rounds.

Looks like I've missed a bit, so I'll do a few dot points:

- Despite the fact that he's done nothing to deserve a shot against Mikey Garcia, I hope Dib takes the fight. He will undoubtedly lose, and it will be enjoyable to watch
- If Geale wants to win in Germany, he's going to have to knock his opponent out, as there's no way he'll get a decision. Officiating and judging in that country is a disgrace to the sport.
- Katsidis was pretty badly outclassed from a technical standpoint, but you always felt he had a chance. Unfortunately, though, he was so tired from being hit so often that he could rarely sustain his pressure attacks for more than a few seconds at a time. I hate to say it, but unless his defence improves or he starts fighting some lesser opponents, he might have to give it away, as his brain won't be enjoying the punishment it continues to take
- I was stunned at how good Morales looked, and the scorecards were extremely unkind to him. Having said that, Maidana was borderline pathetic, looked as if he came in with no strategy other than to try and decapitate his opponent. He's normally pretty wild, but never that bad, I suspect he would've had a better fight if he approached it more seriously.

As for tonight's fight, well, I will probaably watch it. It's kind of strange to say it, but that loss has generated a greater interest in Mundine, at least from my perspective, than any of his other previous wins against, shall we say, questionable opposition. I'll be watching.
