Used to take people on tours there and the biggest request was take us to waterfall that's not on the map

Any hidden gems you wanna share?


There's a bloke who goes to waterfalls off grid in tassie.
One he wants to go too is a 10 day hike.

Friends have asked me to go to the Winter Olympics in Italy with them next February.

Its a 4 hour drive for me.. If I can mix in some shredding at the same time I will be there too.

The Winter Olympics are so much more interesting and exciting (and dangerous) than the summer.

Trump and Meloni are both said to be disappointed that Leni Riefenstahl is dead and can't cover their Olmpics games in the manner they'd like.

OTTOMH- winter I'd go the ariels/ski jumping. Figure skating, maybe some luge and bobsled.

(Summer- I'd be all over the gymnastics, show jumping and diving. And BMX and Skateboarding)

This a little further but not very long .
First lookout 2k return ..I prob did 5k return walked down the basin thought I could get down to the beach...but no .
Easy marked trail .

Pretty small beach .

Have started looking up some places down AB for the next school holidays.

The prices are actually very reasonable, about $100 per night. Could go for a couple nights, then head to the Bellarine.

I'm not on top of prices for accommodation.

But anywhere out of the Christmas and Easter times .

Should be pretty good imo.

I think I've set my Tassie road trip .
I'll book 3/4 months in advance.

Early July, 9 weeks from now. I'll go either these ones, or perhaps the September holidays.

Obviously I'll book it at the last minute to see what the weather is doing first.



But with GOR you never know. I once went down in December, or was it January. The weather was terrible, had alot of rain and the GOR was closed down between Lorne and AB for ages. Had to drive home the back way.

Another time we were there, again it was rubbish weather in summer. Had to head north till we finally hit some sun in Torquay.

In in queenscliff then in Lorne ....WTF ...

I honestly don't mind going in winter or spring. As long it's not torrential rain, I'm happy enough

I haven't booked, just comparing accommodation prices, a 70th-76th floor specifically at the Meriton (where I stayed during the cyclone) is only an extra $1000. Conquer my height fear at the same time .

I'll do the usual 3-4 weeks though.
Probably should go elsewhere and see more of our country but QLD has everything I want.
