That's terrible for Cruz. Looked better than ever in his return and then he gets injured again. That sucks.

There's a lot of people down on Barao's performance the other day but I thought he looked alright. Looks like he'll be fighting Dillashaw next. Don't see him beating Dillashaw.

Absolutely shocking news...Cruz. What a comeback earlier on in the year and to hear this. I guess he can always fall back on his media gig with the UFC.

Seems like everyone disagrees with me about Barao. I don't think he looked much different than usual. I think people are making him out to be something he's not (I was certainly guilty of this in the past). He didn't look any better than he did on the weekend against Wineland until he landed the kick and he had difficulty in the early parts of the McDonald fight. The fights against Faber and the one against Pickett are his clear stand out performances in the UFC.

It's a tough one. I'm not sure if it's our perception (many thought he was unstoppable, but he had his pants pulled down by TJ). I think psychologically it has been tough on him. He didn't lose for 8 years so he probably thought he was invincible. He's been humbled and because of that I think he was gun shy against gagnon. Once he believes in himself again he's tough to beat. He comes from a good camp so I doubt they'd allow him to be pantsed by TJ again (I hope not anyway. I don't like that cocky midget)

I think Barao's got a good/average skill set with the exception of an unbelievably explosive gear change. At champion level you have to be a freak to keep a counter attacking style and stay champion.

I would say that he's got good/average stand up with above average power, but his ground game is top notch. I think he has fallen in love with the stand up game and it cost him badly when he came up against Dillashaw who is noticeably faster and did not stop moving. If he can effectively use his wrestling to get Dillashaw down, I would expect him to win the rematch. If he decides to stand and trade with him again, I expect much the same result as the first fight.

This is for all of you who call Jon Jones fake. The man has some stuff that'll put you in your place: You sound like girls.

I'm not sure what this achieved other than to put a bunch of individuals together (girls) and stereotyping them in some way.

Don't rely on wiziwig on Sunday gents. It's been closed down. Make other arrangements so you don't miss out on jones being pounded into the mat time and time again.

UFC President Dana White confirmed today that the promotion has decided to do a trilogy bout between current UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and former title holder Johny Hendricks
Well that sucks

Load of bollocks... DW's rationale behind it "we just saw Robbie vs Rory"....

Uuuhmm.. I'm pretty sure we JUST saw Lawler vs Hendricks actually.
Really unlikable bloke DW. Sick of his "yeah well tough shit we are mma" attitude.

I think it's just stall tactics to be honest. DW wants a log jam to built up because if rory lost (he wouldn't) the division would be stuffed. Brown just lost (undeserving anyway); Lombard only has a two fight winning streak (looks unconvincing); Condit is injured (I think he's the best in the division besides Rory); Woodley was destroyed by Rory; Saffeidine destroyed by rory; Gunni Nelson was halted by Story; Gastelum and Thatch look promising but need more fights under their belt.

With Saffiedine just announced as out of UFC FN 60, Brown has no opponent. Hopefully Lombard makes short work of Burkman and puts his hand up to fight Brown.
Definitely a wise move for him. If he dispatched both he (along with the hype his bellator fans bring) would be in the running for a title shot.

Definitely, i'm a big Lombard fan, but I can see Brown's durability really testing him.. Particularly if it was a 5 rounder and Lombard slowed drastically from the 2nd/3rd round onwards as he often does. Either way - it's something i'm keen to witness.

Definitely be a contrast in endurance. I think it'd be similar to the Brown-Silva fight. If Brown survived the first I think he would tire Lombard down very quickly. Lombard knocking Brown into row Z is something I'd really enjoy seeing. Body shots seem to crumble Brown very quickly (Silva and Lawler showed a massive chink in his armour).
