I still dont understand how beating Siver gets you a shot at Aldo.

Cant wait to see the train derail p
Weak division.
Aldo's beaten Edgar, Lamas and Mendes.
UFC wants money
Aldo wants money
McGregor = money
McGregor has been very impressive and the way he dispatched dustin washis ticket to the title shot.
Burmudez and Swanson got destroyed in their last outings.

Next logical step in my opinion.

More I think about it the more I worry about Aldo's leg kicks and McGregors wide stance. His coaches really need to think of a good game plan to combat that. Conor generates so much power from his stance too so Aldo will be licking his lips.

If he beats McGregor he needs to more up to 155 and test himself. Otherwise he's just going to fight the same few over and over.

Was just talking to a mate about this. Aldo will be seeing red all fight. Conor is going to have to "move like a butterfly & sting like a bee"

i'd normally say aldo needs to control his anger...but its aldo. his anger would probably take him to super saiyan levels

it'll be interesting to see how conor reacts to his flurry's.

i think mcgregor may try a few take downs to mix it up

Good luck with that, I can't say I recall Aldo being on his back even against wrestlers (I stand to be corrected). Will be an interesting fight, yeah i do agree that Siver shouldn't really be a stepping stone to a title shot but this will still be a great fight.

Not saying he could, just to mix it up and keep Aldo guessing. He might if he catches an Aldo kick.

Only times I can think of were in the Lamas and Hominick fights. From memory he spent pretty much the entire 5th round on his back in both fights, but seemed pretty OK with being there. McGregor hasn't shown much in terms of offensive wrestling and I don't think he needs to to worry Aldo. The more I watch, the more I'm impressed and I am honestly starting to think he'll befuddle Aldo with his range and movement. Not saying he'll win, there's always a chance that Aldo ends the fight with one shot, but I think he looks very good if Aldo comes to make it a straight stand up fight.

Check out the video at the following if you haven't seen it already... it goes in to detail about Conor's movement and speed and it's mighty impressive.

IMO UFC is too title focused and it's why they are struggling to get numbers, where I would just love to see another Shogun/Hendo scenario. The reality is they still have a lot to offer just not headlining cards, put Rampage or Crocop vs someone decent as the fourth or fifth fight on a main card and all of a sudden it looks a lot more attractive than Kyoji Horiguchi vs Louis Gaudinot.

I must be one of the few that has no interest in seeing Rampage and Mirko fight in the UFC again.
I'm cool with Rampage, not that he's that interesting anymore. He looks like an old boxer who can't pull the trigger anymore. Crocop being signed is criminal, he has massive brain damage. The UFC don't give a **** at all.

Pretty much this. I'd always liked that Dana seemed to be human enough to tell fighters that enough was enough and that they should walk away if it's feasible, but if they're going to bring back a messed up and washed up Cro Cop just to keep him away from Bellator then they may as well go all the way and bring back all those guys he retired like Chuck, Griffin and Hughes. There's no difference between Chuck fighting in 2015 and Cro Cop fighting in 2015.

Yep bullshit decision. He got knocked out in his last 3 fights in the UFC...knocked out my Mir...come on!

Just further reinforcing their love for $$$$
