Yeah, Sanchez stepping it up played a part. Most the fight were good. Menjivar/Albert fight was a really good back and forth fight while it lasted too.
Looked like Ellenberger hurt his hand towards the end and coupled with Sanchez pouring it on it lead to an odd finish. Great fight though... would have loved to have seen another couple of rounds.

Good call on the Menjivar/Albert fight too, that was a barnburner.

Mustn't have been into MMA at the time, I remember that video being sent to me about 20 times when it happened. :p

I watched it every time as well, crazy submission. :D

Interesting that the Indian based Super Fight League (SFL) that will hold its first event 11 May is owned by an Indian cricket IPL owner and a Bollywood actor. The CEO is a sports agent who manages UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator fighters !
They have adopted Unified Rules and a round cage and the first Main Event is Bob Sapp v James Thompson.
This could be intersting if MMA takes off in India.

Sapp is a joke now. He will tap to strikes within the first 2 minutes. He is only in it for the cheque.

Interesting that this event will stream live on youtube.

This league just signed Paul Kelly, Trevor Prangley and Todd Duffee. None of which will be on the first card but at least they are assembling a roster of sorts.:thumbsu:

Maybe the occasion got to him
I wish they at least showed the prelims on One
Noke started really well but seemed to get tired after a dominant first couple of minutes. Then Craig controlled the action. Prelims are on Fuel TV if you have Foxtel.

A couple of nice subs and a good win for Perosh too.

That was a nice heavyweight fight to start the night. The backflip from Jordan was a sight. James Te Huna was very impressive again, destroying Rosa.

Alves is such a frustrating fighter, has all the talent in the world but just doesn't have that hunger for the finish. Seriously had the Hitman dazed there, could have got the finish on the feet.

Anyone go to the event? What was the crowd number like? I checked online last night and you could still get tickets to every seating allocation section.

Awesome fights from top to bottom of the card really. Just saw on an MMA website that somebody ****ed up and the McCall/Johnson fight should have been declared a draw and gone into a 4th round sudden victory. That would have been awesome, bloody idiots whoever stuffed up.
