I'm not sure how successful it's going to be. Is the big screen that much of an attraction? Cos by the time there are 2 of you, you can order it at home.

I also had a look on the Village website - I was more interested in what Gold Class might cost, but there wasn't any Gold Class pricing available for Crown or Doncaster.
I went to see WrestleMania 19 at Village and that was alright.

But good point about 2 or more going, can only see this being for the big big PPVs, this is really only trying to attract the casuals, they'd certainly need to drop the price a bit to keep interest.

It sounds awful to me

- Expensive (plus food and drink is expensive at the cinema)
- Are you allowed to chat to your mates about the fight etc?
- Everyone getting up every few minutes would be a pain in the arse

Wrestlemania at Village was fine, pretty much pub atmosphere, and think you'd have the proper fans going too, so you wont get a bunch of dickheads.

That being said, but yeah $ is the killer.

2.00pm start time suggests it isn't live :/

Big screen, surround sound would be nice. But there's nothing worse than trying to stay off the internet to not find out results and then over hear people talking about the result. Which could very well happen if going to this event.

If it was live I'd consider it.....other wise stay at home and fill ya fridge.

It is live. 2pm is the new starting time due to daylight savings.

Expensive? Yeah it is, but for those who dont have foxtel to book it from (like me) it's a really handy option.

Chatting? Yeah i cant imagine there will be ushers ssshing you. Everyone is going to be yelling at the fight. Should be a big atmostphere.

Getting up? Cant imagine people will be moving too much around during the fights and if there are there is heaps of time mid fights to do so.

---------------

I'm giving it a go at 205. Me and two of my mates are going. We're technically over paying but none of us have foxtel so it's the best option. The benefit is locking in a comfy seat in front of a huge screen with amazing sound. UFC205 is going to be HUGE at every bar in town. The peace of mind of a guarenteed seat with perfect view is worth it for me. Some have said the food is expensive. And yeah that's true. But then bar food is too.. and try ordering it while 205 is on. At least at a cinema you can bring in outside food like Subway.

My plan is: go to a bar early for the prelims next to the cinema. Sink a few drinks, watch the fights, race over to the cinemas, grab a large coke, bring a flask of whiskey with me and enjoy the main event.

I'll see how it goes. But i'm pretty pumped.

Maybe he's dropped the beach muscles to make weight.
I'll be interested to see what he looks like at 155. He was never tall for a welterweight, but was seriously broad. I remember his fight with Condit and being shocked how much bigger Carlos looked than him. Hoping the cut goes well for him as I like him as a fighter and hope to see him get back to the form that got him a shot at GSP.

Jones got a year, backdated.
I'd love some clarity on how these suspensions get worked out. All of Jones, Romero and Means tested positive due to tainted supplements (apparently) and all three received different suspensions.

I think Jones is the first suspension with the mandatory USADA timeframes? Could be wrong. On top of that I think NSAC can still suspend him further if they choose to.

USADA - Independent and will sentence everyone accordingly
NSAC - Crooked as can be, would suspend Diaz for 10 years if they could but might give Jones a week off

You may well be right, I haven't been keeping too close an eye on all things USADA to be honest.

Depends on your star status.
If that was the case, then surely Jones would have got the shortest suspension. He got the longest of the three from memory, with Romero only getting 6 months and Means 9 months.

Alright I'll come clean. I had no idea how long any of them were suspended for, I just wanted a cheap couple of likes :p

Jones suspension was due to taking a boner pill. He was really careless compared to buying something from GNC and it having an illegal supplement in it thats not on the label.

You have to be pretty stupid to think something like viagra is going to be clean.

Haha, well have one for making me chuckle at your honesty then. :D

Fair point. Anderson's suspension was also a year for the same sort of issue, wasn't it?
