Hah crazy shit, I saw him posting something about boarding a plane for Aus a couple of days ago. Looks like he must've been in transit ever since, brutal.

Jack Slack's breakdowns of fights/fighters are always very interesting. His understanding of the technical aspects of the striking game and his ability to explain them is terrific.

He used to do these sorts of articles for Bloody Elbow and now he's at Bleacher Report. The only thing I go to Bleacher Report for is to read his articles.

Nate Diaz giving his brother a false sense of victory probably made the difference. Not that it mattered with the way things eventually turned out..

Clint Hester's been cut apparently.
Source? A quick google search didn't give me anything. If true, he must have screwed up as his win over Bristol was impressive.

Agree CA, but it's sad to see one of the top guys go out like that. I wasn't a huge fan, but he had a lot of great match ups left. Seems bizarre that he's been around as long as he was and only managed 6 UFC fights!

Just kept getting sidelined by injuries, sad finish to his career but when you're close to 40 the road back would seem that much tougher to get your body right to fight again.
That's disappointing to hear. I spose since he has a solid career to fall back on that may have made it easier to call it a day. Dude was so close to being HW champ, and also close to killing Frank Mir in their fight too I reckon.

My bad, I took a mate for his word and he got his names mixed up, Clifford Starks got released.. The jerk had me scratching my head too..
Cheers! I thought Hester had gotten himself arrested or popped for PED's or something. Starks being cut wasn't too surprising.

Also, don't remember reading about it on here but Pablo Garza and Antonio Carvalho were cut yesterday. Baffled by both of those decisions.... Garza always brought it and was one fight removed from a signature win against Hominick while Carvalho lost on an early stoppage against Elkins. Really thought both of those guys would be kept around.... I mean if they're both close to being cut have them fight and keep the winner at least!

While talking retirements, the infamous Gabe Reudiger has also called it a day on his career. His showing on TUF 5 was brilliant. For those that missed it, here's the best bits:
