Fedor, Jones and Russian Jesus

I find it hard to see how Fedor would beat Jones, let alone JDS or Cain. Somehow Fedor used to be the best ever heavy weight of all time.

Definitely lost some size in that leg which you'd expect, but it looks like his left leg is half the size of his right in that picture.

The angle his legs are facing and the compression pants sort of thing on his left leg would exaggerate the difference even more though.

Some of those recently announced fights are awesome. The naming of these UFC on Fox Sports 1 events is lame though. The UFC won't call them UFC on Fox Sports 1 1 and so on at least, but the media will.

Most of you might have seen this, but Phil Baroni lost the other night by TKO (I think?) He broke his ankle in the process, which isnt pretty.

Heres the gif, but WARNING: It might not be what you want to see..............

Kidding, you're all on the combat board :D

I'm guessing his Australian seminar tour coming up will probably be cancelled. That's messed up..

"Maybe there's a contradiction lost in translation. I wanted to do four more fights, and they said eight, so I said, 'Whatever. Let's do eight, 10. Let's do however many fights you want.' They got on that ride and offered me 10 fights, and that's what I signed. It all depends. Ten fights is about six years, so we'll see what happens in the meantime. I hope that I'm still inspired and that I still have the will power and the desire to go out there and fight. But I'm happy. I'm well-treated by Dana and Lorenzo Fertitta and everyone in the UFC, and I hope to continue having this desire to fight and go in there and train. But it's a matter of time. We have to go in there and see what's going to happen in the next few years."

****. The two fights I was most looking forward to at 161 aren't happening now. :(

Glover/Shogun would be great but Glover's still medically suspended.

Bader pulled out of his fight at 160 so I'm not sure he'd be ready. Davis might be the best option but that fight doesn't really excite me.

And from nowhere, the People's champ chimes in...

The (self proclaimed) people's champ's shtick really bores me. He regurgitates the same sort of crap all the time (usually about Brazilians), but plenty of people seem to find this interesting. So whatever.

Good on him for putting his hand up to take the fight though. I reckon he'd win pretty comfortably against Shogun. Take him down and control him from there for the best part of three rounds.

Yep. For whatever reason they lap it up, even though he hasn't backed up any of his talk in ages.

I'm not so sure I agree with this though. Shogun's improved his wrestling a lot and will have a massive advantage in the stand up. I'd see this as a 50/50 fight personally.

I'll be backing Lyoto in that one. It's a weird matchup, I don't think that Davis deserves it, but oh well

Shogun is out of 161, Sonnen couldn't get a visa to Canada, eh. He will fight on the Boston card in August 17, but no opponent named yet.

I wouldn't be too happy right now if I paid to go to 161, but it's always cards that you're not too excited about that deliver. I hope that this happens again.

Has anyone watched TUF Brazil 2 this season? Final is held on this weeks free card, UFC on Fuel: Nog vs. Werdum. How has the season been? Any real decent top 10 potential?

Have watched the first four or five episodes, but found out the finale today on one of the MMA site's I frequent. Two of the more impressive guys I've seen so far get injured (one during their fight, one prior to it in a bizarre accident) and don't progress in the competition. This is one of the other competitors at the ADCC's against a guy you may have heard of:
