THE GF. ..WHO TAKES IT OUT THIS YEAR

They need to fix the forward line. Dominating the inside 50s by 32 and kicking 7.11 is inexcusable. By all accounts Ben Brown is cooked, so they should be bringing Grundy in to ruck and station Max up forward.
By rights Melbourne should have won. So many sprayed shots in front of goal, especially Picket, is not what you want from your specialist forwards.

This is absolute BS.
Collingwood had the game a qtr time.
After that they played the scoreboard.
If we are behind, we play differently to if we are in front.

If Melbourne were 2.9 in the first qrt, to Collingwoods 1.2, then you may have a point.
Effectively though, we controlled that game from the start.

Easy to understand how you would look at it like that with Collingwood eyes.
I see it differently as a neutral, you let slip a 5 goal lead.

Of course it is easy to look at it like that through Collingwood eyes, as we watch closely each week and see what is happening.

Did we let slip a 5 goal lead, or did we do what we had to do to protect the lead and stay in front?

Collingwood have been lauded over the past two years for being able to come home over the top in last quarters.
Sometimes we need to outscore in the last, sometimes we don't.
When we are behind, we play very differently to when we are in front.
We play the scoreboard and we play the clock.
And we play them better than most.

So they should have won because they made more errors? This theory fascinates me.
You can muse about it all you like but Melbourne were all over them in the last quarter.
Melbourne blew it with inaccurate kicking .
Collingwood were lucky to get home.

On paper, Brisbane is the best bet. But I'm sticking with the BLUE BOYS !!!!! WOOOT WOOT

But all the team's still need a bit of luck. Injuries will play a part in the next few weeks, they always do unfortunately.

If Steven May or Gawn ( for example, you could go through every team and say this) goes down next game, how much % does that bring them down if they have to play Brisbane in the granny ? Quite a lot I would say

Iā€™m still sticking with my theory of Port finding a way of making the grand final despite not many pundits picking them. From there, anything can happen.

Well I am on target with GWS. THEY CAN TAKE IT ALL.
Won't a few teams be pissed if they do.
Fremantle comes to mind.

And the GWS juggernaut rolls on. It's a bit s**t the have a 5 day turn around . AFL making it difficult for the lower teams .
GO GWS

If Demons win to open the finals against the Pies they rocket into firm favourites for mine.

Lions are a monty to make the GF but they are nuffies on the MCG so whoever plays them wins. Much like last season and we will see a repeat of the Swans debacle on the MCG.

Both Prelims will be way better games than the actual GF cause the Lions are just gunna stink it up on the biggest stage.
So close and the Lions proving to be competent i got wrong but they never looked like winning on the MCG. That first Pies V Dees first final was massive in saying who was winning the flag.
