The Giocattolo Group B - Australia's forgotten supercar.

Just wondering if anyone remembers this little masterpiece of Australian Engineering.

The Giocattolo Group B






It was based on a heavily modified Alfa Romeo Sprint with a Holden 5.0L V8. 15 were built in 1988.

I think it is one of the most beautiful cars ever built.

Yep, was a very nice looking car that one.

Won the Horsepower Heroes at Summernats a few weeks before he died.

They ran the cars the wrong way up the Eastern Creek drag strip. Criminal.

From memory it was a speed run comp, to see what speed could be reached at whatever point they had set up, but yes, was running down the hill.
