Of course it sounds ridiculous, but yet to be disproven.
no. on the contrary. the impossibility of the logistics does surely disprove any possibility of noah and the biblical ark, as it was written. and beyond ANY REASONABLE doubt too. to believe otherwise is not sensible. c'mon, for god's sake!
Anyway, just imagine, for a moment, IF the ark was ever found, what would that do to your world view?
this is not even sensible as a thought experiment. it serves no purpose. you may have well just asked 'just imagine if god was found' that is essentially the inference.

You forgot that germs and viruses require a host , therefore all of them must have been carried by the animals on board . I'm assuming Noah himself would have had to host all the human exclusive diseases . Poor bugger.
It is just so absurd it beggars belief that anyone over 6 or 7 years old could even consider it may be a true account.

Indeed.

A massive fresh water flood would have caused havoc with all of the hypertonic/hypotonic osmoregulators.
islam got this one covered :

"He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition." (Quran, 25:53)

It all sounds like a lot of fuss. Couldn't God, being a supreme being and stuff, just kill all the humans in the world apart from Noah and his family?

How can you make a decent story out of that?!

"God was pissed off so he killed everybody but Noah and his family. The end."

Shithouse story.

Ah, ice age or something else right?
continental drift has been happening for billions of years and i'm pretty sure it happens independently of ice ages. australia is moving roughly northeast at about 7cm per year. not quickly enough to have been anywhere else other than by itself around the time of noah. at that rate it has moved about 300 metres since the time of the flood according to genesis.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't heard of gravity
Just waiting for "but its only a theory."

For the record plate tectonics is a "scientific theory."

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment.

Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive form of scientific knowledge. This is significantly different from the word "theory" in common usage, which implies that something is unsubstantiated or speculative.
