I'm not missing the point, it's the point you made yourself, you got called out on it and suddenly I am the one who missed the point, good to see your gift of deflection hasn't left you

I am pursuing this because you were pumping your own tyres with some ridiculous statements, so I bring a bit of reality into it and see how you'd react, it's interesting that way. Honestly if you don't want people holding you up for the silly things that you say, just don't talk

Actually their words give a hint to their lives, have you not read proverbs about the power of words and the wicked tongue?

Anyway we have deviated enough from the original topic, I'm more than happy to keep going on this silly tangent coz it actually is quite amusing for me, so if you keep going then I will, be my guest. Otherwise my points have been made
That's fine and you are entitled to your opinion, however I'm not convinced that you are completely accurate, but whatever.
I always stand behind what I say, and I appreciate you quoting scripture at me (ironic much?), but knock yourself out.

I however am convinced that you are completely inaccurate, which is why I quote scriptures at you, coz the biggest irony is those who hold the scriptures as the guide to their lives yet they don't seem to follow it or even know it. But anyway, point has been made

haha you throw out scriptures with no basis or understanding of what you are talking about, you are making yourself look silly.

So basically any scriptures that don't suit your own personal agenda means they must have no basis or are completely out of context, I get it, the word of God only matters when it suits your own prejudice, only when it's convenient. I see now

Actually the one who's been making himself look the most silly have been you, but of course you wouldn't realise that, because you are silly

“We believe in Marx, freud and darwin.
We believe everything is OK as long as you don’t hurt anyone to the best of your definition of hurt, and to the best of your knowledge.
We believe in sex before, during, and after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun.
We believe that sodomy’s OK.
We believe that taboos are taboo.
We believe that everything’s getting better despite evidence to the contrary.
The evidence must be investigated and you can prove anything with evidence.
We believe there’s something in horoscopes, UFO’s and bent spoons.
Jesus was a good man just like Buddha, Mohammed, and ourselves.
He was a good moral teacher though we think His good morals were bad.
We believe that all religions are basically the same- at least the one that we read was.
They all believe in love and goodness.
They only differ on matters of creation, sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation.
We believe that after death comes the Nothing because when you ask the dead what happens they say nothing.
If death is not the end, if the dead have lied, then its compulsory heaven for all excepting perhaps Hitler, Stalin, and Genghis Kahn
We believe in Masters and Johnson.
What’s selected is average.
What’s average is normal.
What’s normal is good.
We believe in total disarmament.
We believe there are direct links between warfare and bloodshed.
Americans should beat their guns into tractors and the Russians would be sure to follow.
We believe that man is essentially good.
It’s only his behavior that lets him down.
This is the fault of society.
Society is the fault of conditions.
Conditions are the fault of society.
We believe that each man must find the truth that is right for him.
Reality will adapt accordingly.
The universe will readjust.
History will alter.
We believe that there is no absolute truth excepting the truth
that there is no absolute truth.
We believe in the rejection of creeds, and the flowering of individual thought.
If chance be the Father of all flesh, disaster is his rainbow in the sky and when you hear
State of Emergency!
Sniper Kills Ten!
Troops on Rampage!
Whites go Looting!
Bomb Blasts School!
It is but the sound of man worshipping his maker”

This would be a reasonable insight in to the problems of our world.
And where did you plagiarise that from?

I love the good old gun and Russian line, reads like a sermon from middle America circa 1970.

I doubt you even fully understand what the text is actually saying.

haha plagiarise? Is that what you call copying and pasting now? I thought it was quite a reasonable understanding of the human condition.
Just because it may look 'old' it doesn't mean the premise is any less accurate.

If I think someone's saying blatantly silly things then I could mock them for the fun of it, free will, right?

Why can't people talk about something that they would like to talk about? And on what basis do you think I totally don't believe in it other than your own preconception?

What is silly for you may be serious for someone else. Why don't I think you believe it? Do you really need to ask?

If you think when you said Christian is the most difficult lifestyle, which appears completely silly to me, that you might actually take seriously, I think that's scary and sad. And why are you playing the subjective card now, when you've been telling me how objective your lifestyle and way of life is? Double standards much?

Then on the same reasons I can make a huge case on you not actually truly believing what you believe in, coz you sure love contradicting Jesus's words

As I said you don't understand the text, it is little more then right winged dribble aimed at an American audience..... Oh please explain to how total disarmament and treating other religions equally is a bad Thing.

What backwards American church group are you linked to? FFS your arguing against lines straight from the bible with that shit.

you simply copy and pasted the shit from another website without even reading half the shit on there, you missed subtext that clearly illustrates its a political argument not a religious one. that text quite clearly argues conservative values are the correct way not Christian "conservative" although at Times many of these overlap almost every devout Christian would reject such nonsense claims.

And yes sighting other people's work without reference is plagiarism.

No I truly believe Christianity is an incredibly hard lifestyle. The problem with arguing back and forth on an internet forum is there is no space or way to share intent. It is difficult having to deny yourself things you want to do and say because they won't be consistent with your lifestyle. Temptation is crazy difficult to deal with, and that is not to mention the constant ridicule, questioning your 'brains', having people looking over your shoulder waiting for you to slip up, trying to answer questions about your faith with gentleness and respect to people... the list goes on. It's hard. I would also hope by now that I have a small understanding of what Jesus said and how he would want us to live.

I know exactly what I was saying. Did you miss the part where I said that it is a reasonable explanation for the current world we live in? Did you see saying it was a definitive answer? Stop trying to catch people out on semantics and small nonsense and respond to the thoughts portrayed in the quote.

No, you said most difficult, yet you're now trying to backpedal and back down from that blatant self indulgent tyre pumping.

You seriously don't understand why people would question your brains if you say being a Christian is the most difficult lifestyle? Really? Do you stop for a min and think that they might actually have a point?

I don't think people are waiting for you to slip up, you just do it so easily no one even has to wait

Well I actually hope you really have a small understanding of it, I truly hope so
