Ok Ill start off with the good....This wont take long

McPharlin: playing out the game without getting injured. Lets hope he can start performing quickly like he did last season.

Pavlich and Bell: were great in the middle with Bell kicking 3 goals.

Schammer: impressed me again and continues to perform.

Croad: Maybe we stick the guy in the midfield?

The bad....Long list here ill try and point out the ones I found the most disheartening.

Medhurst/Farmer: Both of them utterly useless in a game that should have suited them. Medhurst seems to lack effort the arogant lil prick, yes I am fast falling off the Medhurst bandwagon.

Conolly: Not dragging players when they dont play to team rules and giving Sandilands the top ruck job when Simmonds is our number 1 ruckman.

Headland: Probally not the best conditions for him but from what I saw he too was useless and again like medhurst performs every 3rd week and thinks thats enough.

Siegurt: Dammit i cant wait for Carr to get back

Not sure what we can do to fix the sitution though I am looking forward to the return of Woods and Carr though.

Yeah, thought Pavlich was good, and Schammer as well. Hasleby was pretty good like always and Bell as well going forward and kicking 3 goals. Croad was alright too although he didn't get much of it. I thought it was Farmer's worst game of the season and hopefully he will bounce back next week. But in his defence, he was often found in marking contests when he should be crumbing but there was no-one to crumb to because Longmuir got nowhere near it for most of the day. Hay towelled him up.

And oh yeah, McPharlin was alright and good to see him get through the whole game. Headland found a bit of the ball but wasn't damaging as he usually is. Siegert was dissapointing in the first half allowing Lekkas 3 goals, and then moved onto Vandenburg who also got a lot of the ball. Walker wasn't too bad I thought.

We lost the game in the first half when we allowed too many goals from the Hawks' midfield. That, and our forward structure didn't see right. But we were well beaten in the midfield in the first half.

My highlight of the game was when Schammer got into the pack during that little melee and tried to drag whoever it was off the Freo player (forgot who it was).

Bit of a reality check. Kenny is right the game was lost in the first half particularly when the Hawks got those 3 long goals on the breeze.

All is not lost as the boys fought it out to the end and had chances but blew them.
Koopsies 4 handball game is a worry and Longmuir was well beaten.

Positives were great games by Pav,Haze, Belly, Shammer and Sandilands best game.

Headland, Parker, Hayden & Macpharlap went allright and will be better for the run.

Really missed Matthew Carr & Splinter

Dare I say it we may have missed Clive.

The Hawks wre good but.
Bring on tyhe Loins. :)

I agree with everything already posted.

Schammer was impressive and Bell & Hase were good as usual. I thought Pavlich was too mobile and strong overhead for Smith but he missed a couple of easy shots in the last quarter which was disappointing. It was also good to see Sandilands' sublime skills in the wet conditions, both overhead and at ground level making a mockery of the theory that the tall, key position players are not suited to the wet conditions.

It was also good to see McPharlin get through a game injury free and he along with Hayden, Headland, Parker and Farmer, will be better for the run.

Siegert was terrible, giving Lekkas far too much space in the first half and he really cost us with some of his poor disposal and decision making errors.

I didn't think our defence was too bad. It was rather our lack of accountability in our midfield (particularly in the first half) giving the Hawks' too much space and allowing the likes of Crawford, Lekkas, Vandenberg and Mitchell to kick most of their goals during general play and allowing Hodge to hurt us with his damaging left foot.
