Good

• Noticeable improvement on performance from last year (3 additional wins, extra 22.6%) with 2/3rd hardest draw, new coach and loss of an A+ midfielder.
• A good, young squad:
  • 7 members of U22 All Australian Squad (Crouchx2, Laird, Lever, Atkins, McGovern, Cameron)
  • 6 members of the All Australian Squad (Betts, Jenkins, Lynch, Sloane, Laird, Talia)
• Lots of room for improvement.
• VB retiring.
• Looks like there is some good depth in the reserves.

Room for Improvement

• Our 3 150+ game midfielders. You can't have your experienced players only playing 'bit parts' and getting 15 touches a game (Douglas, DMac) or 20 touches with no defense (Thommo) - we should allow the young guys to 'learn' by playing the 'bit parts' with 15 touches, and the 150+ gamers getting 30+ touches. Sloane goes 150+ games next year. In a perfect world we get rid of Thommo, Douglas & DMac!
• Hopefully we can import a 150 gammer, 30+ possession getter to help Sloane without selling the farm.
• Maybe try tagging the rebounding loose man in defense (McGovern senior & Enright)

Premiership Window Watch

• Window 1 - Now until Eddie retires (2017, 2018)
  • Eddie has the x-factor required. He is 29 now, probably 2 years at current output
  • Requires importing A grade 30+ possession midfielder.
  • Requires improvement from Crouch the Elder & Atkins.
• Window 2 - Now until Tex retires (5 years?)
  • Tex is 26 now
  • McGovern to pick up some of the 70 goals Eddie is currently getting?
