I'm conceding defeat on Grand Final tickets as I'm now resorting to entering every competition possible.

My main concern is Nicholls umpiring is a dampener but mixed with relief that umpire #30 isn't.

I'm surprised the AFL didn't put 3 anti-Freo umpires in charge
People "Scalp the Scalpers" as well by waiting outside the ground telling them they won't be paying until the price gets real.
2mins before bouncedown something that was a grand a sec ago enters 'Nekminit worth FA" territory.

Finally have the flights booked and can relax. Going via Sydney and decided to stop over so we can celebrate the win in three capital cities.

I was actually eyeing off a flight via Singapore, but the rest of the crew couldn't handle the long flight, so we decided to spend the extra $1300 and stay in Australia. o_O

EDIT: It's an emotional roller coaster isn't it? Jetstar are now offering flights MEL-PTH for $99. Ninety freaking nine dollars!!

Only if you fly Friday night before the game though.

To those people who will take advantage of this because I have subsidised the cost of those flights, you're very ****ing welcome.

I don't think you guys can win. I think the emotion of your first grand final will be too much to handle and Hawthorn will be out for a win after losing last year.

My thoughts anyway.

Wow, what a surprise, Smotie makes a negative post about Freo. Piss off idiot, don't you think we read the crap you sprout on other boards?

Hey all, not sure if this is the correct spot to post in but who cares. I just thought i'd come on and say good luck for the big GF. Very much reminds me of our 2004 campaign and I see similarities between your 2013 team and our winning 2004 team especially in hardness and i think the word is 'internal fortitude'..... pretty much the team has guts, strength and determination (some things i'm stoked to see creeping back into my team also thank god :) ). Anyways, i'll be drinking heaps, abusing umpires and celebrating with you if (when) you win.

I keep getting goosebumps...that's a good thing! Goooo Freeeeoooooo! :hearts: I am so nervous for them all...bring it on!

Good luck Purple Army. I was at the G in 06 and there is no better feeling than seeing your team on the biggest stage on the biggest game of the year. :)

Here's a little something I wrote a few years ago. Bonus points if you can name the original piece that I have shamelessly ripped off.

Clad in purple guernsey all,
Each one prepared to fall
Awaiting all the siren sound
To echo 'round the ground
Drum beat and clanging bell
Heralded them, and then it fell
Silent in due respect
For their most loyal subject
Waiting upon the great event,
Stood there Fremantle's regiment.

Down their makeshift battle line
Breath fogged and eyes did shine,
And the skin of dark red
Tone as if earth had bled
Thudded before the stands.
So given the age-old command
Leather struck like a drum
Told them their time had come
Told them which foes were sent
To face Fremantles regiment

"Freo!" came the mighty cry
"Though blood and sweat is nigh,
Let the whole nation see
What it means to be
Fremantle's sons, and proud!"
Thus roared the thronging crowd,
Clad in colours much the same
As those for whom they came
What a ringing cheer there went
Up for Fremantle's regiment.

Well my emotions are continuing to act like a roller coaster.

In the space of a few hours I've gone through the following

Nervous - can't stop thinking about the game
Disdain - at AFL Members that are selling their tickets
Pride - Actually wearing my scarf unashamedly down the street

Also after 3 years of avoiding the new merchandise like a plague, I now am starting to buy up merchandise

Is there any other way??????
