Was it you, not eth?

I don't think he's that bad. If the other guys could focus more on cricket I might be more inclined to agree with you but the circus act gets too much too quickly too often with the others.
No no- that's Eth. ;)

My opinion is that Chappell is probably second best of the current crop behind Nicholas. At least he actually talks about cricket; yes occasionally he beats his chest about how tough it was in dem old days, but I'd rather that any day than Warne talking about how many pizzas he ate the night before and incidentally calling a bit of play in between talking about how many women he's slayed, or Slater...carrying on like a pork chop and being biased. Or Healy's terrible bias that permeates everything.

Taylor, I can tolerate him.

True, lack of mentors and the apparent lack of execs who keep them on the ball seems to have lead to the circus that's the commentary box these days.

eth-dog I'd be interested to know where you rate Chappell among the current crop of commentators. I know you haven't rated him in the past but the benchmark is a lot lower these days.
I can only bear listening to Nicholas.

I don't mind 10's team for the BBL, barring Mark ******* Waugh

Why is it two of our greatest and my favourites are our worst commentators surely they realize we've got a tv screen, its like they need to be talking for the sake of talking ala mr brereton

Bangladesh have beaten England by 108 runs in the second Test. That is truly a historic result.

I want to go all lol England about it, but I reckon Bangladesh might finally be getting their s**t together.

whats our thinking on the australian fixation of trying to shoehorn an all rounder into every test team?

Surely we are better suited playing a specialist bat at 6?

Feels like we have a guy in marsh jnr who is just OK at both facets of the game but excels at neither?

To be fair, our team at present seems just ok in most areas. Is Marsh a reflection of that?

It's ridiculous that Mennie's ability with the bat is considered significant enough to get the nod ahead of Bird, yet the XI to take the field tomorrow will have Mitch Marsh and Nevill at 6 and 7 in the order.

Mixed messages, much? Is batting that significant in the middle-lower order or not?

Aussies need ZAMPA ;OZ off spin does'nt win test matches.
Smith also needs to bowl himself more along with Warner
Secret being dont wait til 1for200 ala Punter +Pup get in early
