Ah yes the old rubber band engine. Had an outlander once with one of those. It also had paddles behind the wheel for changing gears which was interesting..

the back of my mind is always waiting for the gear to change, it feels like its hanging all the time - oh thats right, the CVT

on the plus side im going at 6L per 100km which feels pretty epic for a non hybrid car that can fit 7 people

That's very good.

I've just started looking for a new car myself. I want as close to a floating loungeroom as possible.
