Could listen to Johnny Marr talk about guitars all day

His new book should be a good read too.

What a coincidence. I was about to watch this just now when I saw it was almost 2 hours. Will watch later though. Just finished watching Rick Beato interview Yngwie Malmsteen. I had no idea how huge Yngwie is. He looks like he could swallow Rick whole 🤣

Edit: Just finished watching it. Man he has some nice guitars and then there's this:

Ok. I'm just putting this out there.

As a young bloke Scott was a hero to me. Still listen to all of his ACDC stuff all the time. Was like a death in the family when he died.

A new hour long doco from the BBC for fellow Blondie fans.

Mike Chapman, who produced Parallel Lines, would have to be one of the best 3-4 minute pop song writers to ever come out of this country. Love is a Battlefield, The Best (Tina Turner), Mickey, Living Next Door to Alice, Stumblin In, Ballroom Blitz, every Suzi Quatro hit.

it's the end of the year, so i figured i'd update the list i dropped earlier of music i've enjoyed throughout the year to account for the past few months.

i think generally i listened to far more hardcore punk/skramz over the past few months to get that youthful anger out of my system (it's still in here) but i think generally it's at least somewhat similar to previously.

i'd recommend specifically to listen to Xiu Xiu plays the music of twin peaks, dropdead (self titled), you will never know why (sweet trip) and long season (Fishman)

i think sweet trip (who's got 2 albums on there) are my favourite band of all time, they've produced some of my favourite songs of all time.

i think one thing that is obvious is i don't think i listened to too much music released this year, and i don't know why. probably because i just think a lot of it isn't my cup of tea honestly

This just popped up in my feed for some reason. Great cover. Have never heard it nor of them.

A doco about Fanny has just dropped on SBS…fingers crossed that it is good 🤞

Almost perfect timing. I was looking for some way to watch this back when I first posted about them.

Also, Rick Beato just interviewed Andy Summers. Surely he has to collect the set now and get Copeland on!

Hey Sporno 4 Pyros I just watched the Fanny doco. It was pretty good but I was quite curious about the lack of involvement by Nickey Barclay the keyboardist (not her real name as it turns out). They just make reference to her not wanting to be involved or contacted. I did a bit of googling afterwards and found this interview she gave. It's very long but quite interesting. She certainly doesn't pull any punches!

Was looking through my original vinyl collection last weekend . Lots of late 70's and 80's stuff. Been playing this almost forgotten gem this arvo.

This song would be the one that got / gets most air play as it bobs up on MMM every now and then. Underrated band The Cult.
