You certainly do have enough spuds to get a contract with McCains.

2018 will not be crucial for us, we are not pretending to be a premiership threat like the Handbaggers. Need another key forward to replace Rough in a few years.

Nice deflection though, these Scott brothers love a top up.

Oldest list in the comp, stats suggest the Hawks are in the prime position to challenge for the flag in 2018. Surely given that you've basically sat out the past two drafts, it's a now or never scenario for the Hawks? On the flip side, Geelong will continue to challenge in 2018 whilst still bringing in a whole raft of exciting youfs from the drafts to build for the future. Surely you're not suggesting that Geelong are better placed for both the present and the future? :D

Assume if we take Burgers out we drop a number of spots, but yep, Cats fans winning on the web again...
We'd drop a few spots if we just took the retired Ty Vickery out. Handbags are counting players who literally are not part of the side anymore.

Just quoting the facts, we didn’t create the lists:$

Hawks need a full rebuild.

Just quoting the facts
Quoting irrelevant facts. The best way to judge a team's age would be to look at players that are still playing AFL.

Hawks need a full rebuild.
It was the youf who resurrected the Hawthorn season this year, so we're in good hands there.

If by better placed for the present you mean making up the numbers, well yes.

The future however is reliant on Cockatoo, Parfitt and argh....help me out here guys.

Poor old Catspiss2007. He's never seen his pussies beat the Hawfies in the gf, and then a threepeat happens to make the gap even wider (despite a 28 year head start - lol!).
You forgot to include Geelong's encouragement awards 'won' in the VFA in the 1800s. Apparently they count as VFL/AFL premierships.

Our recycled players include young blokes such as Tom Mitchell, Jaeger O'Meara, Jarman Impey. Then there are premiership heroes in Frawley, Gunston and Burgoyne. I'll give you the retired Vickery and the delisted free agent in Henderson.

Now let's look at Geelong;
Touhey not bad for a 27yo back flanker
Hendospud
Memegola
Black
Stanley
Crameri
Ablett

Nothing under 27 there, that is topping up Brad Scott style.

We could dump Crameri, Stanley, Black and Menegola today and still be just as good (possibly better) though.
BTW Impey is so shit. You'll find that out for yourself in a few months.

What about their new young recruits Ablett and Crameri?

Picks in the top 50

2016 AFL Draft:
Geelong - 26, 40, 43
Hawthorn - x

2017 AFL Draft:
Geelong - 22, 24, 36
Hawthorn - 45

Quite simply an unmitigated disaster for our friends from Dingley. :D:poo:
Hawthorn don't need the draft.

We have, after all, been informed by someone who says he has insider knowledge that both Fyfe and Martin have entered into "unbreakable" secret agreements to play for Hawthorn in 2018.

If you take "Burgers" (lol) out, you finish bottom two.

In fact you might do that anyway. Given that I can't think of a single Hawthorn win in 2017 that was not carried on the back of Hodge and "Burgers".

I've always liked Impey, reckon he will had a fair bit to our rebuilt midfield.

What's more embarrassing is you jizzing over this anomaly, have you had your poster of Jed Lamb signed yet?
Weak as piss effort.

Jed Lamb is an honest journeyman at best. That's what makes it so funny. How an honest plodder drew a big heavy line under how utterly **** ing dismal Hawthorn's future is.

You'd better hope Burgoyne defies history and puts in a career best season at 35. If he doesn't, you are rooted.

You put a heavy emphasis on a plodder getting under the skin of Jimmy Sicily who is still young and can put in the odd bad game.

When you say rooted do you mean Carlolton level rooted or just rooted finishing a game and a half out of the eight?

Completely, utterly rooted.

Bottom 4. If Burgoyne goes down, bottom 2.
