I hate to be pedantic (and somewhat an anorak) but The Four Yorkshireman sketch comes from 'At last the 1948 show' even though MP did do a version of it. The original sketch was written by Tim Brooke Taylor although apparently Marty Fields and John Cleese reworked it to make it funny.

Not true yesterday Frankston reached 42 degrees (which is a record) at 7pm. So there is still plenty of time to get into 40's(currently 37).

The only good thing about hot weather in Melbourne as compared to Brisbane is that we do not get the high humidity. I would rather have a dry heat of 40 than a humid 30.

Just spoke to my mum who works down at the HMAS Cerberus Navy Base at Crib Point.

At 4pm It was 43.5 degrees which equals the record set there 5 years ago.


At Avalon now 45.8 degrees which also equals there record set 5 years ago.
