I can't imagine what it's like in my home town of Melbourne right now. It's only just hit the mid 30's in Tassie and i'm not having fun.

I'm about to walk outside to get the mail so I'll let you know.

Edit: It's pretty intense, but I think I could handle it. I nearly got 3rd degree burns on my feet, but besides that it's alright. :p

I walked went outside barefoot to to spray some water on the dog and it was torture. The concrete feels like an oven !

Well, I live in SW Victoria and my mate just said it's 45 degrees on his thermometer outside.

adelaides temp just picked up again. phenomenal 5 day 40 temps. in WA we generally get that sort of weather but up to 3 days max and have had a few heat waves but ive never seen anything what adelaides had got in march 08 or what theyve got now in perth ever. max we've gotten here while alive was 44.5 and that was on boxing day 07.

So, I just walked outside in bare feet to see what 45 degree heat feels like.

Should not have done it. :thumbsd:

Perth's highest ever recorded maximum was 46.2 on 23 February 1991.

Thank you all for posting. Look after your neighbours and yourself (and family).
