Thought this thread would be good for players will injuries that they can't quite put their finger on.

For me, over the past week I have developed an injury in my lower right leg.

I've looked at diagrams of the lower leg, and I'm guessing it's got something to do with the [SIZE=-1]Flexor hallicus longus.

Whenever I push off my right leg it hurts. Don't know if it's a strain or not.

Try stretching your calf and achilles with your big toe jammed up against something (ie your opposite heel) so it is pointing straight up. This will target the flexor hallicus. Most medial shin splint problems involve tibialis posterior. To get an effective stretch, do your calf and achilles stretches with the outside of the foot raised/ankle rolled inwards on a rolled towel, this will bias the stretch to the inside of the shin/ankle.

Hopefully this works, about 200mm of rain to soften the grounds will help too!
