Our next coach needs to be someone who has that unrelenting desire to coach and get the best out of himself and the team The facts are that theres not much on the shelf re really good AFL experienced coaches - so just like most clubs have done in the past, get the best up and comer !

I would have liked Tudor, as personally I feel that the way Sydney go about it is more representative of what PAFC football should be.

Cameron has massive wraps on him though, so willing to give him a go.

Right now, if the Cameron rumour is just that, a rumour, then we are perhaps scraping the barrell if he refuses. And while TSW may have an ok record of getting it right, unfortunately this is still just a rumour.

I like the idea of Cameron as the coach, as the best untried experienced assistant, and have the feeling Wallace will come along as the experienced mentor to help deal with the media side of things to take the heat off Cameron, and to help develop his management skills. I would not like Wallace as senior coach but think he could be a very good mentor, and would definitely be good with the media and the promotional side of things. Could definitely be a win for Port. Would be happy with him getting us some regular coverage on Melbourne based tv/pay tv/raido shows as well to help increase our coverage and to help attract sponsors. And I'm sure Terry would enjoy that role too. Cameron seems to have the tactical background, but not really the high profile, and maybe that is not his strength. As we have seen with some of the other first time coaches this year I think a mentor or senior assistant to take the heat off would have been very handy. I could see Andy D and KT seeing the need for this and the AFL helping to secure the role of the high profile mentor. One thing for sure if this is the case I would expect to see a lot more recruiting of long kicking, quick left footers next year!

Cameron has the best CV I think. I wanted Eade because of his experience as a senior coach, and while Cameron hasn't been a senior coach, he seems to have experience. He definitely seems the best of the assistants that still haven't had a shot at the big time.
