Im Sorry to bring this up, but for those who doubt stats, did any of you watch the Coburg v Gold Coast game and the brilliant ¼ time address by McKenna? In his hand he had the quarter’s team and individual stats and KPIs sheet, and kept pointing and referring to them to the players. We obviously missed the initial run down as the TV only shows the back half of those addresses, but it just goes to show the importance the coaching staff put on them. Gone are the days when its all by sight and gut feel, now it’s so much more analytical.

I am sorry to the old lady in the seat in front of me who I accidentally spat beer on when Edwards kicked the goal that sealed victory.
Im sorry to the Gabba for lobbing up a partially digested pizza from the regatta in the toilet at ~3/4 time

Walking from the ground back to the Pineapple, some chick said to me 'At least we are still higher on the ladder than you.'
Ummmm...ok love. Whatever rocks your boat.

Yeah sopme people have had fun with this thread, but reread the first 2 pages and tell me people aren't taking this sorry thing a little too seriously........well OK hear we go

I'm sorry that I barrack for a club where some supporters feel the need to apologise to Jake King, Shane Edwards, or Angus Graham after 4-5 solid AFL standard games in a season while we are still on the bottom of the ladder.

Well done for the last 4 weeks - yeah, keep working hard - definitely, you're definitely in our best 22 - maybe........but sorry I thought you were crap when you played so badly all of last season and most of this one and have now played a couple of good games?!?! Give me a break!!

Apologise to whoever you want mate, but by the same token this is a public forum, so don't expect those of us with slightly higher expectations of what should be the minimum standard for those blokes lucky enough to pull on the yellow and black, to let this crap go through to the keeper...........apologise to Jake King lfmao :eek::eek:

BTW of course the players read this forum!!! Its not as though they've got day jobs.

Love ya work JR8, keep hitting those packs hard mate :D

You really are a muppet aren't you....

Didn't say a word about the peolpe who've made light of the thread, its actually been the best part of it.

I just almost choked on my toasted sanga yesterday morning when I saw people giving these heart felt apologies to Jake King!

Jesus mate can't you see how absurd that is?!

Its ridiculous but thats why its so funny, especially this stage of the season, but then again it depends on what they are saying sorry for. Example, if they thought he was the worst player ever drafted onto an afl list then they may not think that anymore and have apologised for it.

Doesnt mean they think he is a superstar or even worth keeping on the list just that he is a little better then they first gave him credit for. There is nothing wrong with that, and thats the point ive been trying to make.

Oh and thanks for the muppet call, ill be a better man for it.

ps. Typical PJ - responding to posts only when it suits him. Havent had the decency to reply to my PM. Bit gutless dont you think?
Do you mean the PRIVATE message you sent me on 28 April? Which you now choose to raise in a PUBLIC thread.

If that is the one - i wonder if you bothered to take part in the survey that was created regarding the standard of the board. RT went to a lot of trouble to create that survey and many people relpied - Were you one. Or are you one of these people to bag and criticise but when actually a chance presents to imporove things does nothing.

Not that everyone had to do the survey - that was voluntary and really only for those that had something to say.

Changes were made out of the results of that survey - If you are still not happy feel free to make suggestions or alternatively the door is that way ------------->

Sorry to those that are no longer on the list, who made way for a new skilled, can do, able to improve, group of players, that has the faithful now rubbing themselves red raw.
At the end of the day, they should understand why a few of us here were going blue in the face, trying to wake up the slumber party for the last 10 years. ;)

Some posters are taking this thread way too seriously. It sounds like it was created just to acknowledge the way the club has been going since the Geelong game, when everyone, including ourselves thought that at the end of the season we'd be 0 and 22.
For those bagging out Kingy. Yeah, well he won't be part of our next flag and probably not part of our next finals campaign. He's a battler. But he hasn't gone backwards or even stagnated this season. Like a lot of his mates, he has actually worked hard and improved his game, even it still isn't in the top echelon of the club.
Seriously, some people need to read between the lines.
