As a Collingwood supporter we seem to cop the most flack easily from Carlton when they beat us. Sometimes its quite intolerable, especially since the majority of their supporters cannot speak proper English and drive taxi's for a living. I would bet that most supporters would say Carlton supporters are the worst for "rubbing it in your face". Wouldn't you agree Dan24?

I would say that every club would have supporters that do that. And it normally has to do with History - take A Lynch's 'choking' gesture in the finals in 99. Had the Lions lost to the Dogs in 2000 at all - can you imagine the backlash and the inuendos and the straight forward personal abuse that would have followed??

As I've already stated, supporters are pretty much the same, there are good & bad in all teams, some just have more bad than others, I dislike the Carlton FC, but I don't hate all Carlton supporters, there are some good ones, like my son-in-law, if he wants to keep breathing.Heh, Heh.

A bit embarrassing and over the top. My son got sworn at for not being in the proper jumper, not we don't go for Carlton either. They are a disgrace as supporters.

Driving taxis is good money for not doing terribly much at all. I used to drive cabs in Adelaide 1985-1992 and I can tell you it is a very tidy little earner indeed thanks very much.
Taxi plates in Sydney cost around $400,000 each. Need I say more ?

All the Greek guys I used to drive cabs for in Adelaide many years ago also had absolutely no problem with the word 'wog'
Here in Sydney I have a few Asian friends, a couple of Chinese-Australians, a Vietnamese guy and an Indonesian. They all cheerfully refer to themselves as 'slopes' and 'gooks' and insist I do likewise.
But then again they all call me a 'sheep*ucker' which again I take in good humour.

Getting back to the "in your face" supporters, Carlton are probably the worst, but only after they have got the game sown up. They are as weak as piss.
They are arrogant, but I wouldn't call the passionate. They'd be at the bottom end of the scale. In terms of passion, Carlton are nowhere near the big 4 Victorian clubs (Collingwood, Richmond. St.Kilda, Essendon). But their arrogance makes them hated.
I have friends who regardes us (Essendon) as unbearble over the last 2 years. But becasue I've been dishing it out, I can't really say. Certainly, other supporters seem to hate Essendon supporters recently. Just look at this board. We must be doing something right.
