18 episodes isn't even a full season for American comedy shows is it. They could've stretched it to 30 odd episodes before the material got stale imo.
Yep. Some US seasons have gone 24 eps.

great show loved the series if there is a movie it could be interesting cause the show only goes for 20 mins.but l think the writers are good enough to strength it out to a full movie hopefully longer than the family guy blue harvest flick.l hope they keep all the humor in the movie with all the naughty words and Charlotte:D.

After the movie has been released two more episodes will be made!

Inbetweeners are back Four more
Published: 30 Oct 2010
CHANNEL 4 has ordered two more shows of The Inbetweeners following the record-breaking success of the last series.

The specials will air after the upcoming film, set on a boozy holiday in Crete, is released next year.
Most of the gang will be at university.
The final episode of the third series, thought at the time to be the sitcom's last, pulled in an E4 record of 3.3million viewers earlier this month.
James Buckley, who plays Jay, wrote online at the time: "Very emotional. So sad it's come to an end."

I've just joined the caravan club and booked myself on a short holiday.

Absolute quality this show. Love Jay, his bullshit works as everyone know this guy during your teenage years. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Cannot wait until the movie.

Somehow got the missus to start enjoying the show. So have started from S01E01 all again :)

Definitely worth watching again:thumbsu:

So many great lines. Watched the London one last night.

"Who would you rather f#### Will's mum or Neils sister?"

Still can't believe it's over :(

Nothing more needs to be said; this was hands down the best thing I've seen on TV since Seinfeld. The hilarity that ensued in each of those twenty-one minute episodes proved the highlight of my week.

Surely E4 in their infininte wisdom will commission another season, given the show's immense popularity.

If not, I'll miss you lads.

Can't wait for the movie/xmas special!!!

Cannot wait till the T-shirts and Caps reach Australia.

I use the 'thumbs up friends' every time someone talks about their mate now :D

And the 'beeep beeeep bep bep beeep' every time a mate continues to talk about the same person.

Bring on the movie and more series:thumbsu:

Why the hell doesn't anybody from Australia make a show like this?

So much potential.

Because it wouldn't be as good :(

The UK accent/language/slang/charm plays a large part in the humour of the show, and I think converting The Inbetweeners with Australian accent/language/slang/charm would come across as 'bogany.'

Exhibit A: The US recreating 'Skins.' Haven't seen it, but know it will be bad.

Australian TV does need an original/homemade comedy though.

summer heights high really survived through one character tho, the other two were rubbish.

Peep Show and the Inbetweeners are probably the two best shows of the 00's tho, along with Arrested Development

Australia is also way to conservative to push the envelope far enough to make that show funny, or as funny as the inbetweeners.

I think our humor is fine but I could not see the producers allowing the writing to be as crude or vulgar (this is part of the appeal and charm of the original show), therefore a waste of time to replicate that.

Anyone else noticed during the cricket the Pure Blonde ad. I am pretty sure its Wolfie who was one of the mechanics that Will worked with in the Work Experience ep.

Same :D:D

I even went to the effort of recording the commercial and playing it back to my family to see if they could pick who it was, as it was killing me that much.

found this on Mr Gilbert

COMEDY: Greg Davies

His role as Mr Gilbert in Channel 4’s sixth-form sitcom The Inbetweeners made him a well-known face. His work as the most imposing member of the superbly screwy sketch trio We are Klang had made him a cult comedian. So when Greg Davies took his first stand-up show to Edinburgh last summer, at the age of 42, we tried not to raise our hopes too high. He can’t be as funny as he looks, can he? Nobody’s that funny.
But Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog turned out to be simply wonderful, sustained by a premise — Davies celebrates the most cherishably funny moments of his life — that kept him focused yet allowed him free rein. The 6ft 8in Davies has that rare and wonderful knack of plying vulnerability yet keeping the room entirely in his control. His 13 years as a drama teacher were miserable, he tells us, but his pupils, at least, must have had a great time.
You can see his show, which was nominated for a Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award, at the Soho Theatre this month or when he heads back on tour in March.
