Interesting to see no Prismall there?

After this article was in The Age

A piece of brighter news for the Dons is the imminent return of former Geelong midfielder Prismall.

Prismall
, recovering from a knee reconstruction he had last year while still at Geelong, was considered to be at least a month away. However, Hamilton said he was a chance of playing with the Bendigo Bombers this week.

The injury list is getting better

Re: Injury Update

I'm hoping by next week they have some idea on when Gumbleton will be available again. He had the surgery 6 weeks ago, so he should be half way through his rehabilitation.

Re: Injury Update

McVeigh, Skipworth a chance to run out with Bendigo this week. Reimers a chance for next week.

Welsh and Laycock comming along. Slowly the injuries are reducing. :thumbsu:

Re: Injury Update

Laycock has missed so much footy this year, I can't see him playing more the 5 games for Essendon. Hopefully he can get back next year.

Agreed, 2010 for laycock although he should have to prove himself as I do like a Ryder/Hille ruck combo

I caught about 5 minutes of Gumby at Windy Hill this morning. He was walking around very carefully, so don't expect too much this year.

Re: Injury Update

Welsh to play VFL next week! For senior contention by round 12! :thumbsu:

ANDREW Welsh is poised to make his comeback from a gruesome leg injury on Sunday week.

The Essendon midfielder has pencilled in a return in the Bendigo Bombers' home game against Coburg in Round 7 of the VFL after being close to selection this week.

"Everything's going really well. I hope to be back in two weeks' time," Welsh told superfooty.com.au program Front and Square.

"With this, thick fishing wire replaced the bolts. It stays in there. I was in plaster for 10 days and could start physio just after the plaster came off. I could get some movement and strength work back into the legs."

Thick fishing wire that stays in there?:eek:

Re: Injury Update

I've got the same injury at the moment, and my physio said that the rod that supports the tibia and the screws that hold the rod in place will stay in, unless there's a high chance of a repeat injury (e.g. a dirt bike rider), where they remove the support. Obviously Woosha needed to have the screws out, because if he breaks that leg again, having metal there will not be pretty.
