The main disappointing thing about the internet is it's great and democratises information... and huge number of people do nothing but go to trash news sites and look at cat memes.

"We get the media we deserve" is a crap cop out line, but there's just a tinge of truth to it.

The internet is great. It's helped me learn six instruments, how to program in multiple languages and is currently helping me become bilingual.

None of these things I could have done without it, living in rural Tassie. It's a great tool but it's a shame that so many people don't use it purposefully.
