Just didn’t feel they were all in the fwd line much at the same time.
Watch the first half and see how many times 2 of them flew together!!! Better in the second half.

One of them is the back up ruck, even when JUH is playing so the percentage of time all 3 are in the forward line even last season is a lot less than perceptions

Warms the heart to see Marra engaged. Perhaps he is not completely lost to us / the game, after all.

If we can get him back in the second half of the year, that’s going to be one hell of an inclusion. Knows how to find opportunities to kick goals. Which we could certainly use more of and will take pressure off Darcy. Has that star power.

Fingers crossed.

It won't make the media unless it is negative towards the club

Playing 3 tall forwards rarely means playing 3 tall forwards together.

English (78%), Darcy (85%), Naughton (80%) & JOD (82%) means that we only played 3 tall forwards together for just 25% of the game. Hardly significant.

Was at the game tonight. Sat with our lads who weren't playing (mingled with JJ alot) - Also got up and mingled with fans during the breaks, and was in the rooms post-game.

Good signs.
Im confused. Are you talking about yourself or JUH?

I wouldn't let his off field behaviour rewrite his actual talent.

Despite clearly lacking in professionalism to date (which has showed in his match fitness - boxing all the time doesn't cut it) he has been a very influential forward. I think that shows his ceiling could be a little ridiculous. Obviously the issue right now is his floor is rock bottom.

If he kicked at even an average or even slightly below average level he would have dobbed 50-60 goals last season. Has a long boot and can dob 50-60 meter goals, very few on the list can actually do that. Helps spacing for Naughts and Darcy.

If we do lose him, having Croft waiting in the wings softens the blow somewhat but that's a very different player.

There is a whole lot of potential yet to be seen. If he figures it out his match fitness issues and can move up the ground (the original Buddy comparisons) he would work perfectly fine with Darcy. Think of how crazy it would be to have both of them, in their prime, in the same side.

Of course ego is in the equation - Darcy is the better player right now. Probably will be long term because of his height. But Marra is still a freak talent himself, and he may not want to share the spotlight with Darcy.

No idea how this all plays out, doubt he's playing for us next season, but glad to see he hasn't COMPLETELY ****ed off/checked out like Bailey Smith did, yet.

His social media stories and who he hangs out with lately really is showing on his face if you get my drift. I think he's beyond help now.
In my line of work, believing in the ability of people being able to change and shake off the shackles of past experiences is what keeps us going.

There's been a fair bit of public scrutiny and backlash recently that he's avoided for a few months. The club itself at this point has largely avoided it.

Jamarra would be reading all this given his activity on social media. It's either going to take him much further in the wrong direction or light a fire in him to prove his doubters wrong.
