That’s exactly what this is.

Posters have mentioned that the club wants to enforce firmer action but are unable to do so because the AFL are worried about optics. The AFL are apparently heavily involved here and the clubs hands are tied around making the best decision for the club.
The AFL may have worse optics if they don’t step in now. What is next?

The AFL should allow the dogs to cut ties with JUH and the AFL should be doing the same thing - because I don’t believe this will be a pretty ending.

I’m sure the AFL will do the right thing by the Dogs though*

One thing is for sure after the last two Seasons dealing with Smith and JUH I hope the club stays clear from Paul Conners clients
I'm no fan of Connors and haven't exactly been quiet about that, however Connors doesn't personally manage Marra and his whole management team has frustrations with him aswell so it isn't something being steered by Connors in this case.
I wish we could avoid all Players linked to CSM however they have cornered the market quite cleverly. Also as must as it pains me to say not all managers under the CSM banner are as obnoxious as Connor himself.

Losing Dunkley was frustrating but manageable.
Losing Baz for minimum return was a set back.
To lose Jamarra for nothing would be a disaster.
Doesn’t sound like there is much the club could have done, but the fact of losing young elite talent like Jamarra and Baz for very will really impact our future success. People will say at least we have Darcy, but that doesn’t make up for what is going out the door.
Dunkley’s last game for us - he was our best player against Freo. Always rated him for that.

we must have some rotten luck when it comes to CSM clients that we have had

Stringer
Hunter
Smith
JUH all have had different problems when with us and they have all been under the CSM banner

I am hoping the AFL sees this as a unique case where the mental health issue is beyond the control of all parties. Similar to COVID where a conscience stand by Liam Jones led to him being unable to fulfill his contract and he was deregistered. When he came back to the AFL his former club was compensated with a draft pick based on the AFL assessment of fair compensation.
Of course in this instance I view fair compensation as being picks 1 and 2 but that’s just me.

Bevo’s tone towards Marra definitely shifted in today’s press conference.
Sounds like he’s trying to protect the players from the external noice and keep the focus on trying to start the season well.

Bevo will always go to war for his players

FWIW Marra's dad has had this to say after being quiet about the whole scenario. “Always trying to twist the narrative... delusional”. Take from that what you will.
Who was he talking about

We gain nothing from sacking him, seems odd why so many supporters want to go down that route.

We need to continue to support him in the hope he turns things around whilst he is in contract with us.
I think most supporters want the AFL to sack him and we are compensated adequately ie. no longer pay his salary & the dogs receive adequate draft picks as per the worth of his contract and amount we invested in him initially.

We can pour that money into Bont, Darcy and Richards.

What would you think the likelihood of something like this happening would be?
If Melbourne didn't recieve anything for Brayshaw being medically retired we sure won't be.

5% - unless JUH ramps it up this weekend on Instagram, which is a 90% chance.

If JUH embarrasses the AFL for a continual period and Bevo and Bains play a good hand by distancing the Western Bulldogs from JUH, the chances of us getting something substantial for an AFL sacking is there.

Re-worked to achieve what exactly?
I have no idea. I could only speculate on the end goal but would hope it's to try to achieve a positive outcome for all involved. No previous attempt to re-integrate him has worked so we will see what they come up with or if it is even possible to have all parties agree. It's essentially at a point of being back to square one.

I think even 5% chance on the AFL agreeing to terminate a contract is too high, maybe 1% unless he actually commits an actual crime.
The chances of us getting compensation for such a situation would be absolutely zero though.
