A link to the source and summary/analysis thanks
Thanks Mike, I had a feeling that was the case although wasn't sure of the latest interpretation.
I thought I'd seen a few articles in their entirety lately.

Edit: I've just realised that it was edited so heavily that the important part that Marra can't just force a trade and rock up to another club and play straight away next year without AFL approval doesn't get a mention now. Without this it added no more than earlier posts did.

I can revert your original post if you edit it and highlight parts quoted from the article followed by your own text

For example

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is back in Melbourne and ready to return to Western Bulldogs training.

Last week Ugle-Hagan responded to a social media post of Morris suggesting he wanted to be a Swan, indicating that the Channel 9 journalist was lying.
Jamarra wrote: ‘@trmorris 32 none of my mates would talk you bro. Stop capping’.
But Morris stood by his comments that the 23-year-old is seeking to reinvigorate his flailing career in Sydney.

I think JUH should come back…….play VFl.. go fishing etc etc (your analysis)

So there's still a chance all this could play out:
  • Jamarra makes VFL return
  • plays well, earns back trust
  • gets back into the AFL team
  • we make finals
  • Jamarra kicks five in the granny to get us over the line
  • I name my firstborn Jamarra

I'm all-in on this outcome, comeon JUH got a lot riding on this...

I'm pretty sure someone on here already named their kid Marra. They REALLY have a lot riding on this!

Can’t recall who exactly, but pretty sure it was a daughter called Mara. Not sure if 100% named due to JUH though lol

If he puts his head down and has a good pre-season for us he's effectively the best recruit of 2026.
I'm not certain but fingers crossed it happens.

At the very least it appears Jamarra recognises that even if he wants to leave he needs to come back into our program and perform, even if its at VFL level kicking 6 every week. Greedily that helps the club should it come to that, personally I really hope he is committed to the change.

Watch him kick a dozen round 22 and lead the dishlickers to a Premiership. Straight to Dillon’s house afterwards for a glass of Chard.

It's the best outcome we can hope for. The worry is at the end of that we are likely gun shy and offer 2 years on moderate dollars. Then another club will offer 4 and say he's damaged goods and out of contract...just like you know who

Sorry Mike, been busy with some health issues.
Thank you, should be ok now. My edit above and the AFL article is enough I think.

Looks like the 12 week suspension is up. He’s ticked the AFL boxes by going to ‘retreat’ and now we sit and wait for him to walk back in the door.
I only hope for the best for him.

12-week suspension? Tell us more. (Not doubting you, btw)

I don’t know anything. I’ve been suspicious from the get go that something is being swept under the carpet by the AFL.
That would be very unlike the AFL with its impeccable standards of transparency and accountability.

Could be something along the lines of he wants to stay but if he had to choose another team it'd be Swans (assuming Buddy talked them up as an option).
If Buddy franklyn wants Sydney to get Jamarra why doesn't franklyn sticks his nose out of it

If he has simply been suspended (suggested above, and possible), there should be no issues with him coming back and resuming his career. All the rest of the noise has then been just that, noise. A lot of muddying of the waters.

Just a thought.
