I have no problem with what anybody has said about any of the journo's. I don't think that Laura Kane deserves to be spoken about as she was...despite her breathtaking incompetence.

I would bet my bottom dollar that 90% of what Morris has said is an educated guess (or an uneducated guess more likely.) Nobody who really knows what the club management thinks is giving the time of day to Morris and Marra has made it clear that he isn't either. Morris is a fraud of the highest order. He doesn't deserve the professional title of journalist. He, like Cornes, is a muck raker and bullshitter.

That the only new thing and the hook that the story rested upon was the differences between an apology and remorse says it all really.

The amount of think pieces and talking head opinions that have spun a negative narrative around what should be a good news story is a sad indictment on the state of journalism and analysis that people who follow the game are subjected to.

Jamarra and the club may well decide its best if he was to pursue his career elsewhere next year. Who knows? But the number of people who jumped straight to this conclusion as if it's a fait accompli regardless of Jamarra allegedly stating his desire to see out his career at Whitten Oval is nauseating.

Im almost certain if this situation was unfolding at Collingwood these same people would be salivating at the thought of an incredible redemptive arc playing out in time for this years finals. Not downplaying it as a 1:1000 long shot.

It takes a lot of courage to stand up & apologise to the entire the group. Proud of him. Now he just needs to keep at it & get to work. I’m sure if his teammates see this consistently from him, all will be forgiven considering he went and got help, owned it & is now on the right path to redeem himself to be considered for selection.
Can’t see us booting him out if the above occurs, nor should we. We supported him through it & we should be the ones to reap the rewards of that.

Intended as observation not opinion:

1. He appears to have posted a picture 4 hours ago of him at dinner with a mate flipping the bird to the camera. His mate did not appear to have any neck tattoos for those who use that as a measure of savoury-ness of mates.

2. He then posted a compilation of Gerard Healy reporting his return to training, some clips of him playing, and some clips from the movie Coach Carter. There is some very funny, presumably unintended, irony in the Coach Carter clips given the storyline of the redemption arc character and the Rory Lobb rumours earlier this year.
