It was Reported that Brisbane may not be interested Gold Coast , Fremantle definitely wouldn’t be. So that only leaves the SA clubs and one Wa club
Brisbane is one of the ones that we're interested but it isn't a stretch to imagine they've pulled out aswell.
I'd question the decision making of any club that does even the shallowest of due diligence and still retains interest.

Given you usually get good mail, any idea if his issues are with the club specifically I.e doesn’t want to play for us anymore or just in general not interested to playing at all?
At this stage even I am getting abit cynical and am starting to think he is taking issue with anyone who expects any sort of effort.
To think this bloke kicked over 40 goals last year & 8 months later we're here.

****ing wild.
All he had to do was show up for a year and he'd be getting long term offers well over a million a year.

If Jamarra is sacked, does that open a list spot for the MSD, or is this some unusual situation where the AFL will agree to some compo as a watershed case?

I've been one of the first to say Marra should do better. He's let his team down and come across as an ungrateful prick. But I genuinely think now that he needs help.

My uncharitable take was that this was just a move to get out of the club – that he had a prearranged deal and was planning a gap year before joining a rival. I think I got that wrong.

The club has said there are some "complex" issues at play here, and I probably overlooked that.

If he gets the help he needs and comes out the other side, I reckon he'll look back and feel shocked and embarrassed by some of what he's done over the past six months. Hopefully that moment comes sooner rather than later.

Highly doubt any club would go near JUH once they do due diligence him.

Rumour was floated around last night at the game that the saints had a private investigator follow him around at the time that we were shopping him around and then pulled the pin on their interest. Make of that what you will.

Something Ross Lyon would do 😂

In terms of draft capital, can anyone recall what JUH cost us?

I know he was pick one, but am I correct in recalling that we used a pick 18 or 19 because of the priority we had under the NGA rules at the time.

I might be delusional, but if we could recover something similar (late first round pick) in a trade then maybe we come out of it okay if we could break even (from a draft point of view).

It’s over we won’t get anything other than maybe a token late pick from the afl as compo when he is deregistered

If he is still on the list at season end and hasn't somehow miraculously returned to play, the best we could hope for would be a token late pick.

"I just said to the group, you know Sam comes in, he probably knows he might have a serious knee injury but he's in the huddle, arms around his teammates, singing the song, just shows what sort of character he is," Beveridge said

We could do with a few more guys like this.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.

If he is to be deregistered, then hopefully the AFL sanction us to terminate the contract without pay and the rest of the contract doesn’t fall within the cap.

Call me old school, but if you don’t show up to work and/or don’t fulfil your work duties as contractually required, then you don’t get paid and you shouldn’t be employed.

Actually you'd expect this type of support from any 'wounded' team-mate. But I take your point that Bevo is making a deliberate statement inferring the contrast to Jamarra's behaviour.

The club refers to him as a “complex situation” which we can only speculate on, but if it is some form of addiction, then the addiction will rule, you can’t reason with an addiction.

It seems that he hasn’t realised he has a problem yet, it takes some people years to realise they have a problem, after losing everything. Look at Fevola, with gambling, Cousins ICE, both had to hit rock bottom before they clawed there way back.

I took this as a mini stab by Bevo at Marra.
